The Transition Monitoring Group (TMG), a coalition of human rights, Non-governmental and Civil Society Organizations, base in Abuja is seeking highly qualified and experienced Nigerian candidates for the position of:

National Coordinator

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

§  Under the direct supervision of the Coordinating Committee of TMG will take the lead in the planning designing, formulation and fund raising for projects.

§  He/she will also be expected to contribute to policy dialogue and advocacy, partnership development, and knowledge sharing/ learning plus office/corporate initiatives.

Qualification/Experience

§  Good first degree or relevant in humanities or social sciences or related field.

§  At least five years of relevant work experience from NGO and coordination of networks, public sector organization or similar organization

Key Competencies

§  Ability to think analytically and strategically, and express ideal in clear and articulate fashion.

§  Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines, independently or in teams.

§  Ability to adapt constantly changing work environment, and establish and maintain good working relations with individuals/groups of  different cultural background and at different levels

§  Excellent command of both written and spoken English

§  Computer literacy (Windows XP/Microsoft Office).

Duration of Post: One year with the possibility for extension subject to satisfactory performance.
