Since 1971, Family Health International (FHI) has been at the forefront of public health research and intervention programs in the developing countries. In collaboration with national governments, local communities and leading research institutions. FHI delivers service and conducts research in HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases and reproductive health to improve the lives and well-being of some of the world’s most vulnerable populations. In Nigeria, FHI is engage in providing public health service and undertaking research in HIV/AIDS, TB and reproductive health, in partnership with the Government of Nigeria. To strengthen our operations in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of:
ZONAL MANAGER
Under the supervision of the Director Program Management, the position will manage and coordinate all FHI activities in the zone by leading the planning, design, review and monitoring of programs at the field level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Develop a program management capacity development plan to provide assistance to field office program planning, design, and review and monitoring of program process.
Ø Serve as a point of contract for FHI with state government officials.
Ø Coordinate and collaborate with all public sector NGO partners in project sites.
Ø Work with the state M&E office staff to monitor all intervention strategies to ensure that they meet administrative, financial and program goals.
Ø Review program and financial reports submitted by collaborating partners at the field office level and forward same to the country office
Minimum Standard Requirements
Ø Masters degree in public health, science, or behavioral sciences, with at least 8-10 years working experience in managing programs at the community level, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years working experience.
Ø Extensive knowledge of HIV/STIs and public health issues.
Ø At least five years experience in HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation at the community level
Ø Experience working with public and NGO sectors is required.
Ø Fluency in English and familiarity with and knowledge of the local language and cultu7re
Ø Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility
