AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a non-governmental donor-funded organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of HIV/AlDS in Nigeria. Since 2001, we have worked closely with key stakeholders. Including government agencies, universities, other non-governmental organizations and donors to fight the HIV. AIDs scourge, APIN's goal is not just to reduce the rate of growth of HIV epidemic in Nigeria but also to ultimately reverse its course.
Our prevention, treatment, care and support activities which span forty-two sites in ten states of the Federation are coordinated from our offices in Abuja. Lagos and Ibadan. Due to the broadening of our mandate and the consequent expansion in our activities, we are seeking qualified and competent person to assume this roles:
Human Resource Officer (HRO) Abuja
-Reporting to the Human Resource & Benefits Manager, the Human Resource Officer will provide wide-ranging support in the hiring, retention and motivation of qualified and competent personnel. The job holder shall:
-Coordinate monthly time and effort reporting of individual employee
-Assist m the management of employee relations, including advising employees on terms and conditions of service
-Provide necessary support during recruitment exercise, including Organize selection interview sessions.
-Administer staff benefits, including liaising with HND, PFAs, sic
-Maintain personnel and other HR records, ensuring accuracy and safety
-Assist the Human Resource & Benefits Manager in the execution of HR projects
Qualification and Experience
A degree in the Social Sciences or Humanities and a minimum of four years relevant experience; membership of the Chartered institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and possession of relevant experience in a generalist HR role are essential
Competencies
-Appreciable knowledge of HR bets practices.
-Interpersonal skills and ability to manage confidential matters and information
