1. This Invitation for Bid follows the General Procurement Notice for the Project that appeared in the Development Business, issue no. 637 and Daily Trust newspaper of Nigeria of July 3rd 2009.
2. The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a Credit from the International Development Association (World Bank) in various currencies to finance the cost of the Health System Development Project II (HSDP II), It is intended that part of the proceeds of this Credit will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Procurement of Schools and Household Furniture
3. The Adamawa State Health System Development Project II (HSOP II) now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of Schools and Household Furniture:-

4. Bidding will be conducted through the international Competitive Bidding (ICB) Procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guideline: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined In the Guidelines.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Adamawa State Health Systems Development Project II, No. 35A, Sir Kashim Ibrahim Way, Yola and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 10am -3 pm Mondays -Fridays, excluding Public Holidays.
6. Qualification requirements include list of financial Technical, legal and other requirements. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Document A margin of preference for eligible national contractors shall not be applied.
7. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of ten thousand naira only (N10, 000,00) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be by cash or bank draft. Bidding documents will be available from 10th December, 2009.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below Adamawa State Health Systems Development Project II, No. 35A, Sir Kashim Ibrahim Way, Yola at or before 12.00 noon on 21st January, 2010, Electronic bidding will not be permitted, Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person or on-line at the address below Adamawa Way, Yola by 12.00 noon on 21st January, 2010. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of at least 3% the bid Prince in Local currency or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
