INVITATION TO TENDER

1.0         INTRODUCTION:

The Management of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), is planning to execute several projects bordering on upgrading/relief of overstretched Distribution equipment and infrastructure for the current financial year.

Interested top flight, competent, reliable and experienced Manufacturers/ Companies whose areas of competence are within the power industry are hereby invited to tender for the Procurement of Distribution Transformers.

2.0 SCOPE OF WORK:

ED:7	Supply of 500kVA 11/0.415kV for Mbaise and Orin Business Unit	6No
ED:8	Supply of 500kVA, 11/0.415kV to EEDC Zonal Stores	11No

3.0     REQUIREMENTS

1. i.            Certificate of registration of company in Nigeria with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) together with memorandum and articles of association and form C07 showing lists of directors and number of shares each has subscribed to.
2. ii.            Photocopies of tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) years.
3. iii.            Photocopies of VAT registration certificate and evidence of VAT remittances.
4. iv.            Documented evidence of financial capability (e.g. bank statement)
5. v.            Company’s audited account for the last three (3) years
6. vi.            Affidavit of disclosure that none of the directors of the company has been convicted in any country for any criminal offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety.
7. Manufacturers must show evidence with SON or ISO certification,
8. Sample of Test report from Manufacturer
9. ix.            Test certificate issued by well known International Standard test laboratory for manufacturers of Distribution transformer.
10. x.            Comprehensive company profile showing head office location/ address, website, telephone numbers and email particulars of principal officers or contact persons.
11. xi.            Verifiable evidence of similar jobs successfully executed
12. Shipping documents to be enclosed in the bid.
13. Warehouse to be inspected before issuance of works order
14. Any other document not mentioned above that could place the company in a comparative advantage are welcome.

4.0 ELIGIBILITY OF PRODUCTS

1. i.            Transformers to be supplied must conform to European standard and specification.
2. ii.            Transformer must have been in PHCN network for minimum of 3 years.
3. iii.            Transformer must be sited at bidders Warehouse together with shipping documents.

5.0     METHOD OF APPLICATION

5.0 SUBMISSION

Interested manufacturers/Companies should submit their Technical and Financial Bid Documents along with the requirement stated above in sealed envelopes Marked “Tender for (indicate Lot identification)” Name and Address mailing address of the Tenderer shall be clearly stated on the back of the envelope(s). The document must be delivered by hand to reach the following address on or before 12.00 Noon on 18^th February 2010

Bid shall be opened the same day by 2.00pm and venue shall be Enugu Zone Conference Room Okpara Avenue, Enugu.

NOTE:

1. Each lot must be bidded for separately. Each Bid Document can be purchased at a non-refundable fee of One hundred Thousand naira (N100,000.00) only. The method of payment will be by banker’s draft payable to CEO Enugu Electricity Distribution Company. Enugu.
2. Any submission that is not substantially responsive will not be processed.
3. Any Company/Contractor that submit fake document shall be disqualified

Three Sets (original and copy) plus soft copy are to be submitted. All information shall be in. English Language.

This advertisement shall not be construed as an obligation or a commitment on the part of EEDC nor shall it entitle responding contractors/manufacturers/suppliers to seek any indemnity from EEDC by virture of such contractors/ manufacturers/ suppliers having responded to this advertisement.
