The Federal Government College Kiyawa, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education is embarking on the tender of interested contractors as part of its year 2009 budget. It is therefore inviting contractors to submit bids for tender

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work consists of the following

QUALIFICATION TO TENDER

Interested contractors must forward copies of the following documents and original must be presented for sighting

(i) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

(ii) Tax Clearance for the past three (3) years

(iii) Evidence of Audited Account from Chartered Accounting firm

(iv) Reference Letter from a Banks/Financial capacity

(v) Professional and Technical qualification

(vi) Federal Work Registration Certificate

(vii) Evidence that none of the Directors has been convicted

(viii) Evidence of VAT Registration and payment

(ix) Evidence of payment of non-refundable tender fee of Ten thousand (N10,000.00) in favour of FGC Kiyawa Tenders board of each Lot.

NOTE

(i) No contractor should express interest in more than one project

(ii) Late submission will not be entertained

Tender’s document are to be collected from the Secretary, F.G.C, kiyawa Tender’s Board upon the presentation of evidence of payment of non refundable fee of N10,000.00 only.

INVITATION TO TENDER (TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL) FOR THE RE- CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION OF RURAL TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE UNDER THE RURAL TRAVEL AND TRANSPORT PROGRAMME (RTTP)

INTRODUCTION

The Federal Project Management Unit of the Rural Access and Mobility Project, which is responsible for the Rural Travel and Transport Programme on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources has received allocations from the 2009 Appropriation towards the cost of the Replication of RAMP in States, Rehabilitation of Rural Roads in the six geo-political zones of the country and Constituency Based Rural Access Roads and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the rehabilitation of roads infrastructure.

The Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) on behalf of the Ministry now invites eligible and registered Civil/Highway Engineering Companies for the submission of Technical/Financial bids for the rural transport infrastructure in the following categories:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The road works as per categories A and B shall involve mostly the rehabilitation/ reconstruction of the roads using earth material including provision of culverts where required while category C shall involve the rehabilitation/surface dressing of the roads. The detailed design shall be provided to the interested Companies.

INVITATION TO TENDER

The Jigawa State Ministry of Water Resources, on behalf of the Minister of the National Planning Commission and National Authorizing Officer (NAO) for the European development Fund (EDF), intends to award three (3) work contracts through local open tender procedure for the execution of work under the Urban Water Supply schemes in Birnin Kudu and Dutse LGAs of Jigawa State. The contracts are as follows:

Contract Title: Construction of Interceptor Drain for Birnin Kudu Water Supply Reservoir

2. Contract No. 2: 9ACPUNI006/WSSSRP/JIG/OPE1/1/2

Contract Title: Emergency works for the Rehabilitation of Birnin Kudu Treatment Works

3. Contract No. 3: 9ACPUNI006/WSSSRP/JIG/OPE1/1/3

Contract Title: Extension of water supply to Garu community in Dutse

General Information

i. Eligible and rules of origin

Is open on equal terms to all natural and Legal persons of the Member State European union and the countries and territories of the regions covered and/or authorized by the Regulation or other specific instrument applicable to the 7^th EDF (12 EU + ACP). All goods supplied under this contract must originate in these countries.

ii. Selection Criteria

The minimum selection criteria are as specified in the Tender Dossier and include the technical and financial capacities as detailed in Subclause 4.2.Section 1 -Instructions to Tenderers

iii. Description of the Contract

Contract No 1 consists of the construction of an Interceptor Drain for the Birnin Kudu Water Supply Reservoir with components of reinforced concrete culverts drainage and stabilization ponds.

Contract No 2 consists of the Rehabilitation of Birnin Kudu Treatment Works with components of electrical/mechanical works, pipe laying, fixing of water point reticulation.

The contracts will be financed jointly with cost sharing as follow:

· European commission -50%

· Federal Government of the Nigeria -15%

· State Govt & LGA -35%

iv. How to obtain the tender dossier

The tender dossier available for purchase at the WASSSRP Office Gidan Ihu, Shuwarin Jigawa State. The tender dossier for each tender is obtainable upon payment of fifteen thousand Naira only (N15, 000.00) by Bank draft payable to the WSSRP Project Account Jigawa.

Tender Dossier could also be send to prospective tenderers via courier upon request and payment of the prescribed amount. The Tenderer should provide his current mailing address, e-mail, telephone and fax numbers. However, the contracting Authority bears no liability for delay in the delivery of the document.

The three works contracts are not divided into lots.

Tender must be submitted suing the standard tender for included in the tender dossier, whose format and constructions must be strictly observed.

V. Tender guarantee

Tenderers must provide a tender guarantee as follows:

1. Contract No. 1- N1,080,000.00

2. Contract No. 2- N885,000.00

3. Contract No. 3- N810,000.00

These guarantees will be released to unsuccessful tenderers once the tender procedure has been completed and to successful tenderer(s) upon signature of the contract by all parties.

Tenders submitted with Guarantee using with any template other than the model guarantee template provide in volume 1 Section 3 of the tender dossier will be rejected.

vi. Tender Validity

Tenders must remain valid for a period of 90days after the deadline for submission of tenders

vii Information Meeting

An Information Meeting will be held on or before 10^th September 2009 at the Conference Room of Ministry of Water Resource Old Secretariat. Dutse, Jigawa State by 11:00am
