The Press which is located on the University campus undertakes small scale commercial and non commercial Printing Jobs for the University and the General Public. The objective of the University is to modernize and fully commercialize the Printing Press.

INVITATION FOR PRE QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS AND TENDER

The Federal College of Education, Zaria is desirous of enhancing its Information Communication Technology (ICT) Access Availability,

In view of the above, the College is inviting competent and experienced Contractors to submit their pre-qualification and tender documents which shall be tendered in English Language in respect of any of the following Lots,

Lot I:           Wireless Wide Area Network, New Systems for the ICT Centre; VSAT connectivity consolidation and power systems for the ICT Centre

Lot II:         Official FCE, Zaria Webmail/e-mail solution; Digital Literacy skills; and ICT Security Cyber Security (Cysec) Capacity Building,

Pre-Qualification Requirements

Those interested in the Pre-qualification and Tender are required to collect tender documents from the Estate Department upon payment of a non-refundable tender fee of N30,000.00 per Lot in the Bursary Department,

Interested Contractors are to submit comprehensive technical and financial information for each of the project they are interested in to the Registrar, which are as follows:

1. Name of the Contractor/Company postal address, telephone, e-mail address of the officer where correspondence can be directed and Contractor’s representative.
2. Evidence of incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission.
3. Registration with Ministry of Works in relevant category.
4. Company audited account for the last three (3) years.
5. Evidence of tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) years
6. i Evidence of financial capability and banking support.
7. Experience/technical qualification of key personnel
8. Similar projects executed with evidence.
9. Equipment and Technology capacity.
10. Annual turn-over.
11. VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittance.

Additional Information

This advert shall not be construed as commitment on the part of the College Authorities, nor shall it entitle any company to make any claims whatsoever, or seek any indemnity from the College by virtue of such company having responded to this advert. All costs incurred shall be to the responding Company’s accounts.

Reputable and interested contractors and suppliers are required to submit their applications along with the following documents:

1. Evidence of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
2. Evidence of tax clearance certificate in the past three (3) years (2007- 2009).
3. Evidence of V.A.T Registration and remittance in the past three (3) years (2007 2009).
4. Company profile which should include names, qualification and experience of key personnel,
5. Evidence of similar projects handled by the company including Letters of Award, Practical Completion Certificate etc, within the last five (5) years.
6. Evidence of valid subsisting registration with Auchi Polytechnic in the relevant category.
7. Evidence of registration with FME/FMH/FMWT.
8. Evidence of financial capability to handle the chosen project,
9. Evidence of Social/Communal responsibility.
10. Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after opening of pre-qualification documents.

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. 591of 2^nd July, 2007 and 4 National Dailies of the same date.
2. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Science and Technology Education Post-Basic Project (STEP-B Project), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for the procurement of Laboratory Equipments and Chemicals, Electronic Boards, Text Books, and Sound Proof Generator.
3. The Science and Technology Education Post-Basic Project, (STEP-B Project: Federal Government Girls’ College, Sagamu), now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Procurement of the following:

1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB). a procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

Qualifications requirements include: (i) Evidence of previous supply (sale) of similar equipment for the past 5 years, (ii) Audited financial statements for the last three years, (iii) Evidence of registration with appropriate/relevant Government Agency. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

1. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of N10, 000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira only) or USS80.00 (Eighty Dollars only) The method of payment will be Cash or certified Bank Draft in Favour of STEP-B PROJECT: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT GIRLS’ COLLGE, SAGAMU.
