The ECOWAS Commission intends to recruit a Consultant to conduct a study to assess the capacity building needs of ECOWAS National Units

2.         The Department of General Administration of ECOWAS Commission now invites eligible firms (Firms established in ECOWAS Member States) to indicate their interest in providing consultancy services for the above study.

3.         Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the required services (technical facilities, number and qualification of manpower, financial statements, evidence of similar assignments carried out experience with similar organizations etc).

4.         Short-listed firms will be provided with the detailed Terms of Reference for the Consultancy Services.

5.         Expression of interest must be delivered in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Consultants for provision of reliable Information Technology (I.T) services to the Polytechnic. The services required are:

 

1.         Internet Access

  • Reliable, uninterrupted internet access of at least 1 MB (Upload) and 512KB PS (download)
  • Wireless Coverage, Access across the Polytechnic campus hot sport (secured)

2.         Web Services: The web services should be at least support the following

  • Secured websites portal that allows for online Application, Admission checking

  • Allows for online Management of staff students information storage and access

Interested reputable contractors and suppliers should submit the following documents for tender pre-qualification:

1.         Evidence of Registration/Incorporation of company by the Corporate Affairs commission either as a supplier or a Contractor or both

2.         Company’s three (3) years Income Tax clearance Certificate or evidence of Tax holiday

3.         Evidence of Registration with the Federal Ministry of  Works and  Housing and or the Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu either as a limited liability company or proprietor of a company.

4.         Company’s CV (s) or profiles indicating technical, managerial and support staff and their experience in the field

5.         Bank statement from a reputable Bank acceptable to the Polytechnic, Vouching for the  company’s financial power

6.         List of similar projects successfully executed in the  last three (3) years indicating names of clients, consultants and certificate of practical completion

7.         List of Planst/equipment.

The documents (1-7) above must be in a sealed envelope and clearly indicated on top of the envelop, and should be personally deposited in the Tender Box provided for in the  office  of the  Registrar of the  Polytechnic between the hours of 12.00 noon to 4.00pm weekdays on or before 1st February 2010.

Note that this is not an invitation to tender and that only successful contractors/suppliers will be invited to tender for the jobs.

The Polytechnic is not bound to accept any particular applicant or any conditions attached to any application and only successful applicants will be communicated to.

KOGI STATE COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (KGCSDA)

ENGAGEMENT OF CONSULTANTS FOR BASELINE SURVEY.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Contract No: KGCSDA/BS/CQS/001.

1.         The Kogi State Government of Nigeria has received a credit from International Development Association (IDA) towards the implementation of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the consultancy services for baseline survey in all communities and the twenty one (21) participating Local Government Areas (LG As) across the three (3) Senatorial Districts of the State. These are Kogi, lokoja, ljumu, Yagba/West, Kabba/Bunu, Mopamuro, Yagba/East from Western: Adavi, Ogori/Magongo, Okene, Ajaokuta, Okehi, from Central: Ankpa, Ofu, Olamaboro, Igalamela/Odolu, Dekina, Bassa, Omaia, Idah and Ibaji LGAs from the East.

2.       OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The baseline survey is to be conducted to ascertain the socio-economic status of participating communities, and will serve as baseline for a comparative impact assessment of project performance at the end of the project life.

3.      SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The consultant is expected to visit all 21 participating Local Government Areas in Kogi State and supply the following general information:

  • Name of LGA and Communities and existing CDAs/CBOs
  • Distance of Community to the LGA Headquarters and State Capital.
  • Population  of Community disaggregated into gender/Adult /Children /ethnicity/religion,
  • Occupation (cropping pattern, crops, yield, domestic animals like sheep, goats, catties, and others)
  • Available infrastructures (schools, health centres, water supply, markets, electricity, etc)
  • Average household  size  (family) disaggregated  into gender/adult/children.
  • Sources of household income/economic activities.
  • Identify (if any) vulnerable groups (orphans, leprosy, charity homes, etc).
  • Others

4.       DURATION: The survey is expected to be concluded within eight (8) weeks.

5.         KGCSDA hereby invites eligible firms to submit Expression of Interest for the assignment. Interested firms MUST provide detailed company profile showing experience and competence relevant to the assignment.

6.         Please note that the cost of EOI and negotiation of the contract are not reimbursable as direct cost of the services.

1.         INTRODCTION:

The Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority has the responsibility for Urban Planning Regulation and development of the Greater Port Harcourt City .The New City is a real estate development and covers residential Housing Estates, industrial and commercial areas, business district, Shopping Malls, as well as recreational and hospitality facilities.

PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR CONSULTANTS/CONTRACTORS (all previous applicants should submit fresh applications)

3.         REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION

Interested reputable organizations and professionals with proven capabilities (including all previous applicants) are requested to provide detailed information, indicating that they are qualified to provide the required quality of services, such information shall include, but not limited to the following:

a. Technical Requirement

1)    Possession of Minimum 10 years experience & expertise in similar services

2)    Proof of possession of adequate logistics resources & evidence of knowledge of local construction industry condition for handling the assignment. Where necessary, the following additional information is required;

  1. i.        Manufacturer’s authorization for accredited representative and suppliers.
  2. ii.        Evidence of availability of spare parts/ Equipment & suitable plant
  3. iii.        Evidence of maintenance capacity and after sales services for at least one year from the date of delivery of equipment
  4. iv.        Description and verifiable evidence of recent assignment similar to your application (description should include a summary of project ,scope, location & project value, project duration and extent of participation (for PWWTP the largest capacity handled).

b. General Requirements

Company brochure, indicating the company’s general profile/ Contact information i.e head office address; e-mail address; telephone numbers, and location of workshop/yards or warehouse(s) if any

Ownership and organizational structure of the company including a sworn affidavit that none of the directors is bankrupt or an ex-convict

Certificate of incorporation or registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja (where applicable)

Evidence of registration and certification of the relevant professional or certifying bodies and statutory agencies

Companies local Content policy Statement

Tax Clearance certificate & evidence of VAT remittance for 2007, 2008 and 2009

Information and verifiable reference on financial position and capacity (e.g. financial resources and banking support) and annual turnover of the applicants company including a sworn affidavit that the company is not insolvent

Any other useful information that would facilitate the evaluation of the firm’s capability.

RE: INVITATION TO TENDER FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR PROJECT

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF 215MW

LPFO/GAS-FIRED POWER PLANT IN KADUNA STATE

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Power has awarded Turnkey Contracts for the construction of 21 5MW (ISO) LPFO/Gas fired power plant in Kaduna State, Nigeria. This is part of government’s strategy to improve power supply across the country. Accordingly, the Federal Ministry of Power in October 2009 placed “invitation to tender” adverts in national publications to engage competent firms to provide consultancy services for effective management and supervision of the construction of this power project.

Revisions to the Request for Proposals (RFPs) originally issued for the tendering process have necessitated this new publication. Reputable consulting firms with proven track record are hereby invited to tender for the consultancy services. Bidders who had earlier submitted their proposals based on the earlier RFP may wish to retrieve their proposals and re-tender. The project and consultancy services are to be funded out of Federal Government’s allocation for the power sector

Project Information

The project consists of Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), and Commissioning of turnkey dual-fired (LPFO/natural gas) pre-packaged and factory pretested 8 x 26.13MW power plant and interconnection to existing double circuit 132kV switchyard in Kaduna State, Nigeria, Project completion period is 21 months.

Scope of Work

The consulting firm is expected to manage and supervise the construction of the power plants to ensure timely execution and in accordance with the specifications of the EPC contract. The services include:

i) development of a project management manual for the project to be managed and supervised;

ii) project coordination, management and supervision;

iii) technical control of design and engineering;

iv) oversee receipt and delivery of equipment to site;

v) works execution monitoring at site; and

vi) oversee commissioning and testing upon works completed. Duration of assignment is 24 months.

Conditions for Tendering

Interested Consulting Firms are expected to submit a technical and financial proposal based on the revised RFP to be issued. Only the proposals of firms that meet the following pre-qualification conditions will be evaluated:

· Company profile with copy of Certificate of Incorporation, Article of Association, Memorandum of Understanding & Company’s Registration with professional bodies particularly COREN or equivalent;

· Evidence of managing and supervising a major engineering project of over $100 million within the past five (5) years;

· Curriculum Vitae of individual consultants/staff who will be assigned to the required service (s), including relevant qualification and individual experience in handling similar assignments; and

· Submission of three (3) years tax clearance.

Quality and Cost Based Selection method will be used in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act 2007: Public Procurement Regulations for Consulting Services. (Act No, 14 of 2007) at www.bpp.gov.nq. Evaluation criteria for both technical and financial proposals are contained in the RFP.
