Republic Contractors are hereby invited by the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board to bid in the following projects:

  1. Drilling of Hand fitted Boreholes
  2. Constructions of VIP Toilets (4 Pits)

2    To qualify for the bidding, the following documents are required,

  1. Certificate of Incorporation of Company with the Corporate Affairs Commission,
  2. Evidence of registration as a Contractor with the Bauchi State Government
  3. Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years
  4. Evidence of Financial strength of the Company
  5. Professional qualification of key personal of the company
  6. Availability of plants and equipments to execute the works

INVITATION FOR THE PRE QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS

Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic is seeking for reputable contractors to pre-qualify for the execution of the following projects: -

(a) Projects:

Lot I

  1. i.            Construction of 1No Block of 3 – Classrooms at the Collage of Science and Technology (CST); (ETF Project No. POLY/KATSINA/ETF/09/01);

Lot II

(i)                 Construction of 1 No Block of 6 Offices at Department of Civil Engineering;

ETF Project No. HUKPOLY/KATSINA/ETF/09/02

Lot III

  1. i.                        Supply of 14No HP Computers with Accessories and 14No UPS for the Department of Computer Science;

  1. ii.                        Procurement of 2No Projectors with Screen for the Department of Computer Science:

b)         Pre-qualification Evaluation criteria

  1. i.            Name and Address of Company/Firm.
  2. ii.            Brief History stating the nature of work previously undertaken,
  3. iii.            Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
  4. iv.            Evidence of Registration with the Federal or State Tenders Board or the Polytechnic.
  5. v.            Evidence of similar Jobs handled in the last three (3) years. Letters of  Award,   completion   Certificates  will   be  required (Photographs will be added advantage).
  6. vi.            List of Administrative and Technical Staff (for construction work).
  7. vii.            Tax clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.
  8. Evidence of financial capacity – bank reference and audited account.
  9. ix.            Any other information   that   will   assist   the   Polytechnic in assessing your organization.

c)         Pre-qualification Fee

interested Contractors are to pay non-refundable pre-qualification fee of N50, 000.00 for Lot 1, N40,000.00 for Lot II and N10.000.00 for Lot III

payment should be made at the Bursary Department of the Polytechnic by certified Bank Draft made payable to the Rector, Hassan Usman Katsina-Polytechnic.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

This request for Expression of Interest (EOI) follows the General Procurement

Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in the Development Gateway Market Web Site and appeared in Development Business, issue no. 725 of 30th

day of April 2008.

The Kaduna State Government has received a credit of from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP 1) in Kaduna State and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Consultancy Services Supervision of Construction of Rural Road Network Using Output and Performance Based Contracts (OPRC) in Kaduna State

The objective of the consultancy is to provide technical and financial supervision in order to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the contract and to the satisfaction of the Employer in rural areas covering nine local government areas of which the rural roads have been grouped into four lots; two in the north and two in the south,. A second objective is to draw as much experience as possible from the contracts to assist the possible wider deployment of Output and Performance Based Road Contract (OPRC) contracts on other parts of the road network.

The Consultant shall provide construction supervision including the provision of qualified experienced personnel, management, coordination and efficient execution of these services.

The implementing agency, the State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) on behalf of Kaduna State Ministry of Work and Transport, now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

The consultant will be selected using Quality Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method of selection of consultants in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines; Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, published in May 2004 edition revised October 2006.

One original and three copies of the Expression of Interest must be

submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Expression of Interest for

Consultancy Services Supervision of Construction of Rural Road

Network Using Output and Performance Based Contracts (OPRC) in

Kaduna State (RAMP-I, Kaduna)”
