INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR

THE CONSTRUCTION OF SENIOR MANAGEMENT STAFF QUARTERS AT JABI LAKESIDE, ABUJA

1. 1. INTRODUCTION:

The Nigeria Customs Service invites interested and reputable contractors with relevant experience to apply for pre-qualification for tendering.

DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE;

Construction and furnishing of Senior Management Staff Quarters complete with Infrastructural facilities at Jabi Lakeside, Abuja.

PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for pre-qualification, interested contractors should submit the following:

(a)           Evidence of Company registration with Corporate Affairs Commission

(b)          Evidence of registration as contractor with the Nigeria Customs Service

(c)           Evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2007, 2008 and 2009) reflecting applicant’s claims of the level of works and other business done within the stipulated period

(d)          Evidence of Tax identification Number (TIN)

(e)           Evidence of VAT Registration, Remittance and Tax Identification Number (TIN)

(f)            Company profile including key Staff and strength

(g)           Details of equipment and plants

(h)          Name, address of Banker and letter of Reference from Bank(s)

(i)             Verifiable details of works contracts previously executed in the last five (5) years including letters of award, agreements and completion certificates. Companies with similar works contracts with value less than the upper ten digits in scope need not apply.

4.       SUBMISSION OF THE PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS:

Pre-qualification documents must be appropriately prepared in hard copy and sent in a sealed envelope marked “PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR TENDER” and to reach the address below on or before 4.00pm on 22^nd February, 2010.

5.       OPENING OF PRE-QUALIFICATION:

Applications received shall be opened publicly at 10.00 am on Tuesday 23rd February, 2010 at the address below.

6.       Please note that formal tendering procedure will be provided only to contractors that have been successfully pre-qualified.
