INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

1.         This invitation for Bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development “Business” issues No.591 of 2^nd July, 2007.

2.         The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from international Development Association toward the cost of Science and Technology Education Post Basic Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payment under the contract for the supply of ICT Equipment/Rehabilitation of Chemistry Research Equipment/Rehabilitation and water reticulation to ICT centre and Step-B-Project office at the Federal Collage of Education (Technical) Bichi.

3.         The Federal of Education (Technical) Bichi, participating in the implementation of the Science and Technology Education Post Basic Project now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for procurement/rehabilitation of the following:

4.         Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) a procedure specified in the World Bank Guideline procurement under IBRD loan and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defines in the guidelines.

5.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the project Manager, Step-B-Officer, the Federal Collage of Education (Technical) Bichi at the address below 08023576939, or the procurement office 08039280200 11.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday except public holidays.

6.         Qualification Requirement include:-

a.         Certificate of incorporation from CAC

b.         Current TAX certificate for the last 3 years valid up to Dec. 2009

c.         Company profile including details of key staff

d.         Evidence of experience in similar contract including letters of award and details of involvement

e.         Copies of current company bank statement

f.          Additional relevant information about the company

COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION OF TENDER AND PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENT

Bidding document can be collected at the office of Project Manager Step-B, Federal Collage of Education (Technical) Bichi on payment of a non refundable fee of N20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira Only). The method of payment will be bank draft in favour of Step-B, Federal Collage of Education (Technical) Bichi, the bidding documents must be delivered to the address on or before 11^th March, 2010 by 12:00noon. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Bids will be open in the presence of bidders and the general public in the collage council chamber on 11^th March 2010 by 12:00noon.

Analysis of pre-qualification document will be carried out first. Only companies who meet the minimum pass marks will have their tender document further analyses to arrive at evaluated responsive bid.
