INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR PROCUREMENT OF TREATMENT CENTRE EQUIPMENT, THROUGH INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (ICB) AICP/HH/GD/NCB/08-09/02

1. This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in dg market publication of 3th November, 2006, the Guardian Newspaper of 24^th October, 2006 and the Daily Trust Newspaper of 20^th October 2006.

1. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development/international Development Association toward the cost of Avian influenza Control Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for Procurement of Treatment Centre Equipment.

1. The Avian Influenza Control Project – Federal Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible bidders for the Procurement of Treatment Centres Equipment.

1. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World; Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

1. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Avian Influenza Control Project-Federal Ministry of Health and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9 00am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday, except Public Holidays.

1. Qualifications requirements include:

• Evidence of previous supply (sale) of similar equipment proposed for the last five years.
• Audited Financial Statement for the last three (3) years to demonstrate the financial capability of the bidder in terms of profitability and adequate working capital

1. A complete set of bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address stated in No. 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ten thousand naira (N10, 000.00) or an equivalent in a freely convertible currency paid into the Federal Avian Influenza Control Project Account No. 7200044435 with IBTC chartered Bank plc, at the Cadastral Zone A6 of Maitama-Abuja or any of its branches in Nigeria. The bidding document should be collected by hand from the address in NO. 5 above or can be forwarded to bidders by courier services on request. The method of payment will be cash payment to the Bank.

1. Bids must be delivered to the address below Avian Influenza Control Project office No 2. Cassandra Street, off Usuma Street. Off Gana Street. Maitama, Abuja on or before 12-00 noon on 5^th of April 2010. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the Avian Influenza Control Project office. No. 2, Cassandra Street, off Usuma Street, off Gana Street, Maitama. Abuja at 1:00 P. M. on the 5^th April 2010. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of at least 2% of bid price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
