INVITATION TO TENDER

The Federal Ministry of Commerce & Industry hereby invites interested, competent, experienced and reputable companies/contractors to bid for the projects under the Ministry’s 2009 Capital Budget:-

I Procurement of Automatic Seraphin built Van (Lot 9A)

II Procurement of Calibration Van for weights & Measures Division (Lot C)

III Engagement of Architect/Consultant for the Preliminary design and supervision of construction of Nigeria’s Pavilion for Expo 2010 Shangai, China (Lot 13A)

IV Provision of External Electrification to Export Processing Centre, Wukari, Taraba State (Lot 15C)

V Procurement of Pest Control Equipment {Lot 17A)

VI Procurement of Pest Control Office Equipment (Lot 17B)

VII Consultancy to conduct Public Enlightenment Campaign on Trademarks, Patents & Designs Registration (Lot 21B)

VIII Online Upgrade for Trademarks, Patents & Designs and Upgrade of Very Small Aperture Time (VSAT) Equipment (Lot 21C)

VII Construction of Prototype Commodity Processing Factory at Export

Processing Centre (EPC), Wukari, Taraba State (Lot 15F)

BIDDING REQUIREMENTS:

A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased and obtained for any of the Lots in the two (2) categories by interested bidders on the payment of a non – refundable fee of Twenty thousand Naira (N20,000,00) only by Bank Draft made payable to the “Federal Ministry of Commerce & Industry”.

Bidding documents can be obtained from:

Abuja”.

The bidding documents which should be addressed and submitted to the above office upon completion, should be enclosed in sealed envelopes and marked with the category, contract name and lot number on the right hand side of the envelope. Bidders should also endeavor to indicate their company’s name address and telephone number at the back of the envelope.

All bids must be delivered in the Tender Box in the above address on or before 15^th June, 2009, as late submissions shall not be accepted. Bids will be immediately opened in the presence of bidders/representatives at the Ministry’s Conference Room, Block G, 2nd Floor, at 12 noon on the same day of closure, i.e. 15 June, 2009.

All bids must be accompanied with the documents as a pre­requisite for consideration:-

ü Evidence of incorporation as a limited liability company with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

ü Company’s Audited Accounts for 2006, 2007& 2008

ü VAT Registration Certificate

ü Tax Clearance Certificate for 2006, 2007 & 2008

ü Evidence of financial capability and banking support

ü Verifiable evidence of similar jobs executed in the past and knowledge of the industry/project;

ü Evidence of registration with the Federal Ministry of Works Category of payment of the tender fee of Twenty Thousand Naira {N20, 000.00) only.

SPECIAL NOTE:

Prospective tendering companies should note this:

I All respondents must include functional telephone numbers and locatable office address and e-mail address (if available) for prompt contact if necessary; and

II Companies may be requested to produce original copies of documents submitted during tendering for sighting where necessary and in particular, original Tax Clearance Certificate will be signed.
