INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION TO TENDER

1.0     INTRODUCTION

The management of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital plans to execute the under listed projects under the 2010 Capital Budget.

2.0       PROJECTS

1. Extension of Opthalmology Department
2. Construction of Admin Annex
3. Expansion of Pharmacy Department
4. Extension of Sewage line to 80 flats
5. Extension of Health Record Department
6. Purchase of Electrical Panels
7. Provision of Picture Archiving & Communication System (PACS)

3.0     PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS

Interested companies/suppliers with experience in similar jobs are hereby invited for pre-qualification.

Interested companies are expected to submit the following:-

1. i.            Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission. (CAC)
2. ii.            Copies of Tax Clearance Certificates for the last three years (2006, 2007 and 2008)
3. iii.            Evidence of VAT Registration,
4. iv.            Company profile, which should include CVs of key personnel with evidence of technical and Managerial capability.
5. v.            Evidence of similar projects executed in the past, including letters of Award, Agreements and Certificates of Completion
6. vi.            Details of equipment and plants owned by the company (for building Contractors)
7. Evidence of financial capability through letter of reference from a reputable bank.
8. Evidence of payment of Non refundable Pre-qualification fee of Twenty thousand (20.000.00) in Bank Draft payable to AKTH, Kano

Interested companies/suppliers applying for the pre-qualification should please note that:-

1. Response to the pre-qualification is not an invitation to tender.
2. The Hospital Management reserves the right to reject any or all pre-qualification submissions by a company.
3. The Hospital will not enter into correspondence with any company/supplier on why the company was dis-qualified.
4. This advertisement for pre-qualification should neither be construed as a commitment on the part of the Hospital nor shall it entitle companies/suppliers to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the Hospital.

4.0 GUIDE FOR SUBMISSION OE PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS

Two sets of the pre-qualification documents neatly bound and in separate sealed envelopes clearly marked “PRE-QUALIFICATION TO TENDER FOR At

AMINU KANO TEACHING HOSPITAL”, should be dropped in the tender box stationed at the Office of the Chief Medical Director, on or before 8^th 2010.

5.0     SCREENING OF DOCUMENTS

All submitted documents would be screened and those qualified will be notified in writing through their contact address.
