DEBT RELIEF GAINS FUNDED MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDGS) PROJECT INVITATION TO TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS, AND SERVICES FOR THE 2010 FINANCIAL YEAR

The Federal Ministry of Works, Housing and urban Development intends to implement lined projects of the Debt Relief Gain Millennium Development Goals in Urban Renewal and Slum Upgrading for the 2010 Financial Year.

Objective: The Objective of the Project is to:

1. Deliver basic municipal infrastructure and services in poor Urban Settlement through reconstruction/upgrading and rehabilitation of existing ones in Bauchi, Kwara, Gombe, Imo, Abia, Ekiti, Lagos, Katsina, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Nassarawa, Kebbi, Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna, Osun, Ondo, Kogi, Rivers, Anambra, Sokoto, Plateau, Borno, Benue, Yobe, Kano and Delta states.

1. In view of the above, the Ministry is inviting interested Construction Companies and Service providers to tender for the execution of the works and services,

Scope of Works:

A.      ROADS AND DRAIN AGES WORKS

• Rehabilitation/Upgrading of intra-city roads within districts
• Construction of Drainage Canals and outlet structures

Community Water Supply Scheme

• Construction of Boreholes, reservoirs (Raw and Clear water tanks) and rehabilitation and Expansion of existing; reticulation networks.

SLUM ELECTRIFICATION

• Power supply to Public Buildings/Utilities in selected urban slum communities. Streetlight

WASTE DISPOSALS/RECREATION PARK

• Construction of domestic solid waste collection Points and disposal infrastructure

PUBLIC BUILDING

• Construction of Buildings (Community, Civic Centre/Clinic)

TENDER REQUIREMENT

Interested Construction Companies and service providers are invited to submit Technical and Financial bids including the followings;

1. i.            Certificate of Company Registration/incorporation with Corporation Affairs Commission
2. ii.            Company current tax Clearance for the last three (3) years.
3. iii.            VAT registration certificate
4. iv.            Evidence of financial capability and banking support
5. v.            Audited account of company (if applicable)
6. vi.            Company profile showing:

1. Technical qualification and experience of key personnel to be involved in the project
2. Plant equipment and technology capacity
3. List of similar projects executed in the last three (3) years
4. Company local content policy
5. Company health , safety environment and community social responsibility Programme

Submission of documents

All tender documents sealed and clearly marked “TENDER” DRG/MDGs Project 2010 indicating the “WORK/WORKS’* Bided for must be enclosed in one sealed envelope and returned to the office of the:

On or before 12 noon 29^th March, 2010

Opening of Tender Documents

The Tender Documents will be opened exactly by 2:00pm, on or before 29^th March, 2010 at the Conference Room of the Ministry’s Headquarters Mabushi – Abuja.
