PRE-QUALIFICATION NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER

1.

Introduction

The National centre for energy and Environment (NCEE) has just been established by the federal Government of Nigeria through the energy commission of Nigeria. The centre located at the UNIVERSITY OF BENIN, BENIN CITY, Nigeria has commenced activities to realize its mandate, which involves organizing and conducting research and development in Bioenergy and Environment. The Centre hereby invites interested and reputable vendors and contractors with vast experience to tender for the following under listed jobs provided for in the 2009 appropriation budget

LOT1 SUPPLY OF VEHICLES

LOY2 SUPPLIES OF FURNITURE AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT

LOT3 SUPPLY OF COMPUTERS AND ACCESSORIES

2. REQUIREMENTS FOR TENDER

Interested vendors and contractors are required to submit the following pre-qualification documents along with their tenders:

· Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission

· Evidence of registration as a contractor with the National Centre for Energy and Environment

· Current Tax clearance certificate for the last three years.

· Evidence of VAT registration/payment

· Evidence of financial capability

· Evidence of execution and completion of similar jobs in the last three years

3. COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENT

Interested vendors and contractors are to pay a non-refundable TENDER fee of N30,000,00 (thirty thousand naira only) in bank draft payable to the National Centre for Energy and Environment before collecting the tender documents from the office of the Director, PTDF Building, Ugbowo Campus, University of Benin, Benin city.

Three copies (original plus two duplicates) of the completed pre-qualification documents should be submitted in sealed envelop marked CONFIDENTIAL “PRE-QUALIFICATION” with the LOT number at the top left hand corner while the TENDER document should also be submitted in another envelop marked “TENDER” The two submissions i.e. PRE-QUALIFICATION document and TENDER should be enclosed in a sealed large envelop marked CONFIDENTIAL “PRE-QUALIFICATION AND TENDER” with the LOT number at the left hand comer.

The documents are to be addressed to the Director National Centre for Energy and Environment (NCEE), PTDF Building Ugbowo Campus, University of Benin, PMB1154, Benin City,’ Nigeria, on or before 9^th November, 2009

NB: This advertisement of “PRE-QUALIFICATION NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER” shall not be construed to be a commitment on the part of the Centre to award any form of contract to any respondent nor shall it entitle any Company submitting documents to claim any indemnity from the Centre.
