INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION AND TENDER FOR EXECUTION OF 2010 CAPITAL PROJECTS
A. PREAMBLE
In compliance with the requirements of the Public Procurement Act of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, hereby invites interested and reputable contractors and suppliers with relevant experience and good track record of pre-qualification wishing to tender for execution of 2010 capital projects as follow;
- i. Landscaping of Central Administration Block
- ii. Rehabilitation (Renovation) of Staff Quarters
- iii. Rehabilitation (Renovation) of Students’ Hostels
- iv. Construction of Lecture Hall with Offices
- v. Furnishing of Lecture Hall
- vi. Supply of equipment for Academic Departments
B. Pre-Qualification Requirements
Prospective contractors and suppliers are expected to be reputable and technically competent with verifiable track record of performance on similar projects.
AH pre-qualification documents shall be subjected to strict technical evaluation.
Interested contractors are invited to submit the following pre-qualification documents:
- i. Certificate of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
- ii. Registration (current) with relevant Federal Ministry and Federal
- iii. Polytechnic Mubi as a contractor
- iv. Evidence of current tax clearance certificate for three years 2007, 2008, 2009
- v. Evidence of financial capability and bank support (Bank Reference and recent Statement of Account) Audited account for three years 2007, 2008 2009 and VAT registration and evidence of past remittances
- vi. Experience/technical qualification and experience of key personnel (Company Profile, Curriculum Vitea and credentials)
- vii. Similar projects executed and evidence of knowledge of the industry (award letters of projects executed, completion certificate and photographs must be attached as evidences)
- List of equipment and technical capacity (attached receipts, invoices and photographs)
Please arrange your pre-qualification requirements in chronological order of the above check list as it would be followed strictly.
Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during OR after opening of pre-qualification document.
C. Collection of Tender Documents
Interested bidders may collect tender documents from the office of the Director Physical Planning on the presentation of receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of N30, 000.00 to the bursary
D. Submission of completed pre-qualification and tender documents
The pre-qualification (technical bid) and tender (financial bid) documents must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes marked “technical bid” and “financial bid” respectively of the intended projects and should be addressed and delivered to the Registrar Federal Polytechnic, PMB 35,
Mubi, Adamawa State.
Not later than 12:00 noon on or before 15th March, 2010\
E. Opening of Bids
The documents would be opened 30 minutes later (i.e. 1 2:30pm) on the closing date in the Council Hall of the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi Technical bids would be evaluated on the spot and only the financial bids of the companies who are successful in the technical bid shall be opened. Bidders or their representatives are advised to be present during the opening of the bids.
Special Note: The Polytechnic is not bound to accept the lowest financial bid.
