INVITATION TO SUBMIT EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

FOR THE PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR THE

ENGINEERING DESIGN OF ROADS IN THE FEDERAL

HIGHWAYS NETWORK FOR 2010 FINANCIAL YEAR

The Federal Ministry of Works, Housing and Urban Development is desirous to undertake the Engineering Design for the Rehabilitation/Asphalt Overlay of the following Roads for 2010 Financial Year:

4	Consultancy Services for the Restoration of I No. Burnt Bridge at Ijora, Lagos
5	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Makurdi-Adoka-Ankpa  Road in Benue/Kogi States.
6	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Okene-Osono-Ojirami-Igara-Okpe Idogin in Kogi State.
7	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Omuaran – Islanu
8	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Dikwa-Gajiram-Gubio Road in Brono State.
9	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Mambilla Ring Road, Taraba State
10	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Ozalla – Agbogugu-Ihe-Oweru-Ogugu-Nenwe-Mgbowo Agwu Road in Enugu State
11	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Mbano-Okigwe Road in Imo State
12	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Uzouwani-Anaku-Otuocha in Anambra/Enugu State
13	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Okutukutu-Tombai Road  in Bayelsa State.
14	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Bomadi-Warri Road in Delta State.
15	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design OF Asaba-Ogwashi Uku – Umunede – agbor-Edo State Border
16	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Idoani-ldogun-Imeri-Aiyegunle Road in Ondo State
17	Consultancy Services for the Engineering Design of Iseyin-Alaga-Saki-Ilesha-Baruba Rd. (Ipapo -Alyaga Section) in Oyo State
18	Consultancy Services for the Supervision for the Construction/Rehabilitation of some     Federal Roads and Bridges.
19	Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Internet intranet Network infrastructure facilities.
20	Consultancy Services for the preparation of physical National Development 2010 to 2030

2.         expression of interest is therefore required from qualified Road/Bridge engineering Consulting firms to be used for pre-qualification. Interested Consulting firms must be registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria  (COREN) and should submit the company profile which should include full name of company, and  contact  person(s),   postal   contact  and  e-mail  addresses, telephone/facsimile/mobile numbers. The firms must show the following’

1. i.            Evidence of registration of firm with COREN and Incorporation with me Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria
2. ii.            Copy of current Tax Clearance Certificate of the firm
3. iii.            Curriculum vitae of technical staff involved in the design indicating their experience in the execution of similar works. Evidence of their educational and professional qualification should be attached,
4. iv.            List of computer hardware, engineering software and equipment available for the execution of the works.
5. v.            Evidence of availability of pavement evaluation equipment, and laboratory including the equipment required for the relevant tests
6. vi.            List of the relevant tests to be carried out on the pavement and road materials
7. vii.            List of other equipment or any other information that will assist the firm in the consultancy services.

All submitted documents are subject to verification by the Ministry.

The expression of Interest must be submitted in sealed envelopes(s) and in compliance with the general guidelines for the Engineering Design of Federal roads and bridges. The submissions will form the basis for pre-qualification/future negotiation with and ultimately a contract between your firm and the Federal Ministry of Works, Housing & Urban Development.

Completed Expression of Interest should be signed sealed and bodly written

(b) Completed Expression of Interest should be signed, sealed and bodly written “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST   FOR   PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR THE ENGINEERING DESIGN OF (THE PARTICULAR ROAD)” and submitted on or before 29^th March, 2010 to:

Mabushi, Abuja

Please note that no submission will be accepted after 12 noon on the expiring date.

5.         Also note that incomplete Bids will be rejected and the cost of preparation of the proposals including travelling expenses are not reimbursable

6.         The submission received shall be publicly opened immediately after the deadline stipulated for submission. Tenderer’s or  their representatives are by this information invited for the opening.

6.         Please note that only those pre-qualified from the Expression of interest submitted will be contacted to submit financial proposals.
