INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION;
CONSULTANCY FOR EXTERNAL AUDIT FOR 2006-2008
INTRODUCTION:
The aforementioned organization is an International body which was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe through a Treaty signed in 2001 to jointly exploit the petroleum and other mineral resources in their overlapping maritime boundary known as the Joint Development Zone (JDZ) and to share the proceeds on a 60/40 percent basis for Nigeria and Sao Tome and Principe respectively.
The JDA therefore invites applications for the expression of interest from interested and reputable external Auditing companies or External Auditors for pre-qualification as a first step of the tendering for general auditing of her accounting statement.
OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS
The external auditor is expected to give basic insight and analytical opinion about the JDA financial statements from 2006-2008.
To ease the job tempo, the auditor would have free access to all relevant books which will reflect all payments and expenses in the JDA.
SCOPE AND BIDDER DOCUMENTATION:
The auditing shall be performed to meet International Audit rules and other International standards using all necessary accounting and procedure manuals for verification and controls.
Also apart from his relevant know how, the JDA shall provide the bidder with invitation letters and terms of reference as well as requisite equipment. The bidder must provide necessary information about their company which should include the following:
Full details of company profile: Company Name, Physical, mailing address, email address and phone numbers; as well as all current detailed activities carried out by the external auditing company
