INVITATION FOR PRE- QUALIFICATION FOR 2010 CAPITAL PROJECTS

In compliance with the requirements of the Public Procurement Act of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Kaduna Polytechnic hereby invites interested and reputable consultants, contractors and suppliers with relevant experience and good track record of pre-qualification for consultancy services and execution of 2010 capital project as follows;

A.      INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS INTERESTED IN EXECUTING THE PROJECT STATED BELOW

1. i.            Landscaping of 4-Campuses.
2. ii.            Rehabilitation of Academic Buildings,
3. iii.            Procurement of Laboratory Equipment.
4. iv.            Roads Rehabilitation
5. v.            Training on Entrepreneurship Education.
6. vi.            Procurement of Library Books

B.      PRE- QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.

Reputable and interested contractors and suppliers are required to submit their applications along with the following documents:

1. i.            Evidence of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
2. ii.            Evidence of Tax clearance certificate in the last three (3) years (2007-2009)
3. iii.            Evidence of VAT Registration and remittance in the last three years (2007-2009)
4. iv.            Company profile which should include names, qualification and experience of key personnel, list of similar projects previously executed with photographs contract values, locations and names of clients to include GSM number(s) and e-mail addresses of the firm if available
5. v.            Evidence of valid subsisting registration with FME/FMH/FMWT.
6. vi.            Evidence of similar projects handled by the firm including cost (Practical Completion Certificate)
7. Evidence of valid subsisting registration with Kaduna Polytechnic in the relevant category
8. Evidence of financial capability to handle the chosen project.
9. ix.            Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after opening of per-qualification documents

C.       SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

Applications for pre-qualifications in sealed envelopes clearly marked stating the project intended to handle should be forwarded to:

The Registrar,

Kaduna Polytechnic,

P.M.B. 2021,

Kaduna.

On or before 12:00 noon on 26^th February 2010. The submitted Documents will be opened at 2:00 p.m the same day in the Council Chambers at the Central Administration Building. Polytechnic Road, Tudun Wada, Main Campus, Kaduna

NOTE:

The invitation for pre-qualification is not an invitation to tender and only pre – qualified contractors will be invited to tender

D.      INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONSULTANTS INTERSTED IN PROVIDING CONSULTANCY SERVICVES ON PROJECTS STATED ABOVE.

Interested consultants are to forward pre-qualification documents stating the project they intend to handle. Such documents should include,

1. i.            Evidence of registration with relevant professional body.
2. ii.            Evidence of Incorporation /Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
3. iii.            Evidence of Tax clearance certificate in the last three (3) years (2007-2009).
4. iv.            Evidence of similar projects handled by the firm Including cost.
5. v.            Company profile which should include names, qualification and years of      experience of key personnel.
6. vi.            List of support equipment available for such projects e.g. computer system, graphic plotter/printer software etc.
7. Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after opening of pre-qualification documents

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS.

Applications for pre-qualification in sealed envelopes clearly marked “APPLICATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION AS CONSULTANT” should be forwarded to;

Kaduna Polytechnic,

P.M.B 2021,

Kaduna.

On or before 12:00 noon on 26^th February 2010. The submitted Documents will be opened at 2:00 p.m the same day in the Council Chambers at the Central Administration building, Polytechnic Road, Tudun Wada. Main Campus, Kaduna

NOTE:

The Institution shall not bear the cost of preparation and submission of application for pre-qualification. The Institution is neither committed nor obliged to undertake the work described in the advertisement.
