INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONSULTANTS FOR THE NATIONAL TRANSPORT SURVEY AND PROJECTION (NYSP) UNDER THE 2009 BUDGET
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Federal Ministry of Transport wishes to pre-qualify reputable and competent consultants with relevant and good track record to submit their documents for pre-qualification assessment.
2.0 SCOPE OF WORK
The proposed national Transport Survey and Projection (NTSP) Project is designed to carry out the following:
Traffic Management Studies;
· Preparation of Instrument for Investigation;
· Field demarcation and determination of Survey points;
· Construction of traffic flow chart and international commodities/freight flow Maps;
· Updating of intermodal, integrated Transport Infrastructure documents;
· Gathering and collating data;
· Analyzing road transport vehicles; such as Trailers, buses, coaches, cars, bicycles and motorbikes etc.
3.0 ELIGIBILITY OF TENDER
i Interested reputable and duly registered professionals of the Charterd institute of Logistics and Transport, London and other relevant professional qualifications in transport Engineerin;
ii. Evidence of registration with corporate Affairs Commission
iii. Evidence of payment of Tax for the last three (3) years;
iv. VAT registration and remittance;
v. Comprehensive company’s profile including registered office, functional contact address e-mail address and G.S.M phone number;
vi. Evidence of similar projects successfully executed within the last three (3) years; and
vii. Evidence of financial capability and bank support
4.0 SUBMISSION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS
Interested Consultants should submit two (2) copies of their pre-qualification documents in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Pre-Qualification to Tender for National Transport Survey and Projection (NTSP)” and the top left corner on or before 29th June, 2009 to:

Pre-Qualification documents should be submitted and dropped in the “Tender Box” in the Ministry’s Headquarters, Conference Room, 8th Floor Abuja within the specified period. The Pre-qualification tender bid documents will opened at 1.00pm of the same date of the close of submission.
Please Note
(i) This is not an invitation to tender as invitation to tender will follow after pre-qualification.
(ii) No late submission will be entertained after 29th June, 2009
(iii) This notice shall not be contrued to be commitment on the part of the Ministry to award any form of contract to any respondent.
