Call for Expression of Interest as an Implementing Partner (IP)
A private, non-profit making, non-partisan, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is in the process of negotiating a malaria grant from an international funding agency. The grant will be implemented in at least 3 states of the federation and it involves procurement and distribution of malaria commodities (Long lasting insecticide Nets, Rapid Diagnostic Tests and ACTS), training of health workers, Behavioural Change Communication, Monitoring & Evaluation and Health System Strengthening.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are hereby requested from registered and experienced NGOs/consultancy organisations to work on the project as an implementing Partner on the following Work Order;
Distribution of LLIN
Scope of Work
- Carry out micro planning for LLIN distribution in collaboration with National malaria Control Programme (NMCP), State RBM units and other stakeholders in accordance with NMCP LUN distribution guidelines
- Plan and make necessary logistic arrangement for adaptation of IEC materials for LLIN distribution
- Plan and make necessary arrangement for training of personnel for LLIN distribution
- Effect movement of LUN from state warehouses to LGA and Distribution Points
- Make necessary logistic arrangement for household mobilization, LLIN distribution, End Process Evaluation and retention surveys
- Carry out monitoring and supervision of all LUN distribution activities
- Make necessary arrangement for advocacy to key stakeholders at state, LGA and community levels
- Write and submit monthly, quarterly and annual programmatic and financial reports
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly work plans Participate In quarterly coordination meetings

Training of Health Workers
Over five thousand health workers will case be trained on malaria case management. Home Management of Malaria and Monitoring and Evaluation in these states of the federation across all geo-political zones
Scope of Work
- Organise training of health workers on malaria case management, M&E and Home Management of malaria at state level
- Ensure that training best practices are adhered to before, during and after training
- Liase with State RBM Managers, M&E officers and other State Officers to make adequate arrangement for training logistics
- Put system in place to ensure adequate monitoring and supervision during trainings
- Carry out daily evaluation of training in each site and analyse evaluation report at the end of each training
- Prepare and submit comprehensive training report using approved template
- Make necessary arrangement for advocacy to key stakeholders at state and LG A levels
- Write and submit monthly, quarterly and annual programmatic and financial report
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly work plans
- Participate in quarterly coordination meeting

Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic is seeking for reputable contractors to pre-qualify for the execution of the following projects: -
(a) Projects:
Lot I
- i. Construction of 1No Block of 3 – Classrooms at the Collage of Science and Technology (CST); (ETF Project No. POLY/KATSINA/ETF/09/01);
Lot II
(i) Construction of 1 No Block of 6 Offices at Department of Civil Engineering;
ETF Project No. HUKPOLY/KATSINA/ETF/09/02
Lot III
- i. Supply of 14No HP Computers with Accessories and 14No UPS for the Department of Computer Science;
ETF Project No. HUKPOLY/KATSINA/ETF/09/03;
- ii. Procurement of 2No Projectors with Screen for the Department of Computer Science:

b) Pre-qualification Evaluation criteria
- i. Name and Address of Company/Firm.

- iii. Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
- iv. Evidence of Registration with the Federal or State Tenders Board or the Polytechnic.
- v. Evidence of similar Jobs handled in the last three (3) years. Letters of Award, completion Certificates will be required (Photographs will be added advantage).
- vi. List of Administrative and Technical Staff (for construction work).
- vii. Tax clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.
- Evidence of financial capacity – bank reference and audited account.
- ix. Any other information that will assist the Polytechnic in assessing your organization.
c) Pre-qualification Fee
interested Contractors are to pay non-refundable pre-qualification fee of N50, 000.00 for Lot 1, N40,000.00 for Lot II and N10.000.00 for Lot III
payment should be made at the Bursary Department of the Polytechnic by certified Bank Draft made payable to the Rector, Hassan Usman Katsina-Polytechnic.
