In compliance with the requirements of the Public Procurement Act of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Kaduna Polytechnic hereby invites interested and reputable contractors/suppliers with relevant experience and good track record for pre-qualification for execution of Education Trust Fund Special Intervention Projects as follows.

7. Procurement of Survey Equipment for Civil Engineering Department.
8. Procurement of Laboratory and Workshop Equipment for Electrical and Computer Engineering Departments
9. Procurement of High Voltage Laboratory Equipment for Electrical and Computer Departments.

2.      PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.

Interested contractors/suppliers are to forward their pre-qualification documents stating the project they intend to handle. Such documents should include;

1. i.            Evidence of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
2. ii.            Evidence of Tax clearance certificate in the last three (3) years (2007-2009)
3. iii.            Evidence of VAT Registration and remittance in the last three years (2007-2009)
4. iv.            Company profile which should include names, qualification and experience of key personnel, list of similar projects previously executed with photographs, contract values, locations and names of clients to include GSM numbers) and e-mail addresses of the firm if available.
5. v.            Evidence of valid subsisting registration with FME/FMH/FMWT.
6. vi.             Evidence of similar projects handled by the firm including cost (Practical Completion Certificate).
7. Evidence of valid subsisting registration with Kaduna Polytechnic in the relevant category.
8. Evidence of financial capability to handle the chosen project.
9. ix.            Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after opening of pre-qualification documents.

3.     SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS.

1. This invitation for Bid follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue No. 591 of 2^nd July 2007.

1. The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of Science and Technology Education Post Basic (STEP-B) Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the Procurement of Instructional Materials, Text Books, Chemicals, Science and ICT equipment. 2. The Science and Technology Education Post Basic (STEP-B) Project, Federal Government College, Minna; now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for-

1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guideline:
2. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Science and Technology Education Post Basic (STEP) project office FGC, Minna and inspect the Bidding documents at the given address below from 8:00hrs – 14:00hrs Mondays to Fridays Daily.
3. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N1 0.000 00) only. The payment will be Bank Draft in favor of Science and Technology education post Basic (STEP-B) Project, FGC, Minna. The documents will be collected by hand.
4. Bide must be delivered to the address below at or before 12:00hrs, Friday. 18^th April, 2010. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Three percent (3%) of Bid price in Naira or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Evaluation shall be conducted on a lot-by-lot and discounts for one or more lots will be considered during evaluation

1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) a procedure specified in the World Bank Guideline procurement under IBRD loan and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as define in the guidelines.

The University hereby invites reputable and interested companies to apply for Pre qualification/Tender for the supply of foreign journals for the year 2010
