PRE- QUALIFICATION AND TENDER FOR 2010 CAPITAL PROJECTS TO BE CARRIED OUT AT BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO

1. Bayero University Kano intends to carry out the under-listed works at its various campuses.
2. Tender documents for 2010 Capital Projects are ready, therefore interested and capable contractors are invited to purchase,  fill and return them together with pre-qualification documents. The pre-qualification documents are to consist of the following:-

1. i.            Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
2. ii.            Tax Clearance Receipt/Certificate for the last three (3) years
3. iii.            List of Plants/Machinery and Equipment owned or to be leased with evidence,
4. iv.            List  and type of personnel working for the company,
5. v.            List of verifiable and similar projects completed within the last 3 years with evidence,
6. vi.              List on-going projects  with their costs and evidence of award/payment,
7. vii.            Relevant information concerning means of contact e.g. telephone, e-mail addresses of the company to be provided and
8. viii.            Photocopy of receipt as evidence of payment of tender processing fees.
9. The Complied Tender And The Pre-Qualification documents should be submitted on or before 27^th April, 2010
10. The tender processing fees are to be paid to the Bursary Department of the University.
11. Submissions would not be accepted after the expiring date,

Invitation for Pre-Qualification to Tender:

1.0  The Nigeria Arabic Language Village, Ngala is in the process of implementing and executing proposed 2010 capital projects. In view of the above, the Village is inviting competent and interested Contractors/Suppliers/Consultants to submit their pro-qualification documents to the Village for the following projects.

2.0. PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

All interested companies must:-

1. i.            Provide  evidence  of registration  with   Corporate  Affairs Commission(CAC),
2. ii.            Provide  evidence   of registration  with   Federal   Ministry  of Works,(where applicable),
3. iii.            Provide evidence of registration with Nigeria Arabic Language Village (NALV),
4. iv.            Provide evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years(2007,2008  & 2009
5. v.            Names,   qualifications  and  experience  of the  company’s technical/managerial staff to be involved in the projects) where applicable (enclosed photocopies of credentials),
6. vi.            List of Plant and Equipment (where applicable),
7. Verifiable list of projects completed, listing names of clients, contract sum, evidence of practical completion(2007,2008, & 2009) Audited Account of the bidder for the last three (3) years2007.2008 &2009
8. Bank reference and Bank statement Articles and memorandum of Association, Any other relevant information
9. ix.            Bank reference and Bank statement
10. x.            Articles and memorandum of Association,
11. xi.            Any other relevant information

All interested companies must produce original of documents on the date of opening for sighting only.

3. 0 SUBMISSION

1. The complete pre-qualification bid must be in sealed envelope and clearly marked’ at the top hand corner indicating pre-qualification for Title of the project” Also name and address of the firm/company should be clearly indicated at the back of the envelope.
   1. The Pro-qualification bid must be returned to the Office of the Director/Chef Executive, Nigeria Arabic Language Village. Ngala on or before 10 am  13^th April, 2010 The pre-qualification bid will be opened immediately by 10 00 am at the Council Chamber Willing tenderers and General public are invited to witness the opening. The Village will thereafter undertake verification of all claims made by Contractors. Only Pro-Qualified Contractors will be invited to submit their Financial Bids.

Note:

This is not an invitation to tender, full tendering procedures will be applied only to contractors   That have been pre-qualified and found capable of executing the projects

1. i.            That the Village is not bound to accept  tenders sent by courier or post
2. ii.            Interested contractors may make submission for not more than two (2) projects and must show competency in each of the tots separately

All  contractors/consultant/suppliers that were pre- qualified on 16^th March, 2010 during the opening of ore-qualification bids as par our which appeared in the federal tenders Journal ,Daily Trust and champion News papers need not to re-apply.

1. This invitation for bids, Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in Development Business, issue No 591 of 2^nd July 2007 and in 4 National Dailies of the same date.
2. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of a STEP-B Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the procurement and installation of Research Materials (i) Equipment, (ii) Glassware and Chemicals IFB NO. SYSTEM

The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School intends to employ the Biometric Access Control System to monitor students attendance by way of Finger-scan Biometric Time Clock and Attendance Tracking System.

The aims are to:

• Monitor student’s attendance at activities on daily basis;
• Control, restrict and audit students physical access privileges in academic venues Reduce the possibility of unauthorized access to activity venues and
• Eliminate misconduct associated with “buddy-punching” (signing for friends)

A Reputable and interested contractors and suppliers are required to submit their applications along with the following documents:

1. i.            Evidence  of incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
2. ii.            Evidence of tax clearance certificate in the last three years (2007-2009)
3. iii.            Evidence of VAT remittance in the last three years (2007-2009)
4. iv.            Company profiles which should include names, qualifications and experience of key personnel, list of similar projects previously executed with photographs, contract values, locations and names of clients to include GSM numbers and e-mail addresses of the firm if available.
5. v.            Evidence of similar projects handled by the firm including cost (practical completion certificate)
6. vi.            Evidence of valid subsisting registration with Federal Polytechnic Ball in the relevant category
7. Evidence of financial capability to handle the chosen project.
8. Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after opening of pre-qualification documents.

The invitation for pre-qualification is not an invitation to tender; only pre-qualified contractors/ Suppliers will be invited to tender.

A INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONSULTANTS INTERESTED IN PROVIDING CONSULTANCY SERVICES ON CONSTUCTION PROJECTS STATED ABOVE

Interested consultants are to forward pre-qualification documents stating the project they intend to handle. Such documents should include:

1. i.            Evidence of registration with relevant professional body
2. ii.            Evidence  of  incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission
3. iii.            Evidence of tax clearance certificate in the last three years (2007-2009)

6. vi.            List of support equipment available for such project e.g computer system, graphic plotter/printer, and software etc.etc.
