OUT FOR ETF 2007/2008 INTERVENTION PROJECTS

1.0       The Federal Polytechnic, Bida is inviting Instrumentation Engineers Contractors/Suppliers  of equipment to carryout works/services under the ETF 2007/2008 intervention projects.

The projects involve the construction of academic staff office complex, furnishing of the office complex, procurement of  workshop and laboratory equipments and installation of I CT facilities in the Polytechnic for the ETF 2007/2008 intervention projects.

Categories of works services are listed below

1.1       Construction of Academic Staff Office Complex

1.2       Procurement of Office Furniture for the Complex

1.3       Procurement and installation of Accreditation Equipment for Science Laboratories and Engineering Department

1.4       Procurement and installation of Computers and lCT facilities in the Department of Survey and Geo-informatics.

2.0       PRE-QUALIFICATION EXERCISE

Pre-qualification to obtain tender documents are hereby invited from capable registered and competent building/civil/water/electrical engineering contractors, reputable and competent equipment supplier and instrumentation engineers, manufacturers to apply for pre-qualification in the Polytechnic

The Profile to be submitted should include

  1. Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission by inclusion of certificate of Incorporation and Article of  Association
  2. Tax clearance for last 3 years
  3. Detailed company profile
  4. Evidence of previous experience in a similar project and certificate of  completion and  letter of award from the awarding  agency or agencies
  5. Evidence of financial capability/reference  from a reputable bank
  6. Evidence of registration by partnership by inclusion of certificates
  7. List of equipment, indicating whether owned, hired or leased
  8. VAT registration certificate and evidence of remittances

Note:

Original copies of documents may be produced for sighting during the opening ceremony

3.0       SUBMISSION OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS

Prequalification should be  enclose in sealed Envelopes and marked “Prequalification” for (as the case may be)

This is to be addressed  to the  Registrar, the  Federal Polytechnic, P.M.B 55 Bida and be deposited in the Registrar’s Office on or before 29th March, 2010.

4.0       Scope of  Work

41.       Construction of office Complex for Lecturers, which involves construction of twenty one (21) office spaces for various categories of Lecturers and external works of the building

4.2       Procurement of furniture for the  Office complex. These involve the 1.6m tables and visitor’s chair, the 5ft tables and visitors’ chairs with other  complements for the  lecturers.

4.3       Procurement and installation of accreditation equipments in various Science Laboratories and workshop equipment in Engineering Departments

4.4       Procurement and  installation of  computers ICT facilities in the  Department of  Survey and  Geo-Informatics.

Note:

This  is not  an  invitation to tender,  Contractors/suppliers will be prequalified based on the  conditions stated in two (2) above. Only prequalified Contractors  will be  asked to purchase the tender documents. They will be required to collect the  tender materials  and instructions on payment of prescribed fees, based on the  projects they are bidding  for with full instruction on the procedure from the  Director, Physical Planning  and Maintenance.

4.         Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB). a procedure specified World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guideline

5.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Project office, Step-B Federal Government College, Idoani , Ondo State and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below, between the hours of 8.00 am to 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays.

6.         Qualifications requirements include:

  • Evidence of previous supply (sale) of similar items proposed for the last 5 years
  • Audited Financial Statements for the last 3 years to demonstrate the financial capability of Bidder in terms of Profitability and adequate working capital.

A margin of preference for eligible national contractors shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7.         A complete set of Bidding documents in English may be  purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the  address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (10,000.00) only in Bank Draft in favour of  Step-B Project, Federal Government College, Idoani, Ondo State. The Bidding Documents will be collected by the representative of the bidder or by courier services on request.

8.         Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Monday 29th March, 2010 at 2.00pm. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will not be accepted. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend in person at the address below on Monday 29th March, 2010 at 2.00pm. All bids must  be accompanied by a bid security of 2.5% of bid price in a freely convertible currency or bank draft from a reputable  Nigeria commercial bank.

Execution of Project at KTARDA

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a Credit from World Bank (WB) toward funding Fadama III Project Part of the proceeds has been on lent to Katsina State Government The State Government has allocated a part of the Credit and its own funds (counterpart funds) for implementing community level sub-projects and activities in Baure. Daura Mai’adua, Ingawa, Mani, Bindawa. Katsina, Kaita, Kurfi, Batagarawa, Charanchi. Rimi Kankai, Dutsinma, Matazu, Kankara, Faskari, Sabuwa, Bakori and Kafur Local Government Areas It is intended that this funds will be applied to eligible payment of Advisory Services/Inputs Support component which has its goal as:-

  1. i.            Provision of Advisory Services/Inputs in response to demand of Fadama Users
  2. ii.            Establishment of linkages between Fadama Users, Inputs Suppliers and marketers to overcome major constraints on increased productivity of their Fadama enterprises and increase incomes
  3. iii.            General training, tearing events, and others activities to promote the sharing of knowledge

These will be achieved through Demand Responsive Advisory Service to be provided by wide range of service providers.

The following broad categories of advisory services activities are envisaged under the project among others.

A

  1. Evaluators of advisory services activities proposals submitted to Fadama Community Associations (FCAs) by Advisory Service Provider (ASPs).
  2. Service Providers of advisory services to user groups in Fadama community Associations (FCAs).
  3. Service Provider for design or appraisal of cross-FCA Advisory Service Activities (ASA) proposals.
  4. Services providers to implement cross – FCAs in connection with affected FCAs/SFCO
  5. Service Providers for training services, training materials and linkages.
  6. Services providers on small rural community own infrastructures.
  7. Services providers on (Agro-allied) inputs supply
  8. Services providers on small scale rural enterprenual assets supply.

While the following specific categories are also envisaged

  1. Food crop production (Commercial production).
  2. Specialised horticultural crops and fruits tree production (Seedling production)
  3. Crops protection (IPM)
  4. Environmental Management.
  5. Environmental surveys.
  6. Livestock production (Large ruminants, veterinary care and livestock and fish feeds)

C.        Specialists are to register as service providers for water resource infrastructures, processing and marketing installation;

The Katsina state Fadama III Coordination office now invite eligible Service Providers/inputs of asset suppliers to express their interests in providing the services/assets itemized above. Interested Service Providers/Suppliers should provide information indicating name of service provider /suppler, address, experience and field of interest that they are qualified  to perform (brochures description of similar assignment, experience in similar conditions, . Availability of appropriate skills among staff e.tc). Service Providers/Suppliers may associate to enhance their qualifications.

Service Providers and suppliers will be registered in accordance with the procedure set out in the World Bank guidelines. Selection and employment of consultant by World Bank.

1.0       Introduction

In line with the Procurement Act 2007, the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, as part of its plan to execute projects in its 2010 budget, hereby invites interested reputable engineering Consultancy firms with requisite experience in construction works to tender for the position of Project Consultant for the hospital

2.0       Scope Of Work

Provision of consultancy services in all ramifications, covering Civil/ Structural Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and Quantity Survey in respect of the following intended projects

  1. Two storey Accident and Emergency Block
  2. Two storey Medical Records Block

Scoring format and eligibility

In order to qualify for consideration, a candidate must score at least 70% on the pre-qualification criteria.

The pre-qualification documents must be returned in sealed envelope, marked at the top left hand corner “Pre-qualification document for project Consultancy Services” and addressed to The Medical Director, FMC, Yenagoa, on or before 3rd March, 2010.
