INVITATION FOR THE PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR THE OPERATION/ LEASEHOLD OF NIWA DOCKYARDS AND JETTIES NATIONWIDE
INTRODUCTION
The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Transport with Headquarters at Lokoja, Kogi State hereby invites interested at reputable Companies with relevant experience to pre-qualify for the Operation/Leashed of National Inland Waterways Authority’s Dockyards and Jetties situated at the underlisted places below:
Scope of Work
To manage, develop/improve on the existing facilities and operate on financial leasehold basis.
Lot 1: Warri: Dockyard, Deco Junction, Warri-Sapele Road, Warri-Delta State.
Lot 2: Lokoja Dockyard. Marine Road, Lokoja, Kogi State
Lot 3: Marina Terminal Jetty, Outer Marina, Lagos, Lagos Slate
Lot 4: Calabar Jetty, Marine Road, Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
PRE-QUALIFICATION
Interested and reputable Companies are to collect the pre-qualification questionnaires/documents from the Office of the Ag. GM (Marine), NIWA Headquarters, Lokoja or any of the following NIWA Offices:
(I) NIWA Liaison Office, Shippers Plaza, Wuse-Abuja.
(II) NIWA Area Offices: Lagos, Warri, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Eket, Igbokoda, Onitsha, Lokoja, Makurdi, Yola, Yelwa-Yauri and Baga.
All companies are expected to report the Area Manager, Warri to undertake an assessment tour of the Dockyard facilities and are required to meet the following for pre-qualification: ,
- Registration Certificate with Corporate Affairs Commission.
- Evidence of company income tax payment for the past (3) years,
- Full details of Company profile with evidence of experience in Dockyard Operations/Management indicating key Qualifications, Education and Employment Records, etc.
- Comprehensive Feasibility Studies on the Dockyard.
- Name and Address of Bankers and Reference Letter from such Banks.
- Address/Office locations.
- Audited Accounts for the past three (3) years
- Evidence of VAT Certificate
- Evidence of company’s Income Tax payment for the past three (3) years.
SUBMISSION
Completed pre-qualification document should be written in English Language; sealed , sealed and marked “CONFIDENTIAL” with the title “PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR THE OPERATION/LEASEHOLD OF NIWA , DOCKYARDS/JETTIES” + THE LOT NUMBER at the Top Left Corner of the envelope and addressed to:

The documents must be submitted on or before 15TH June 2009 from the date of this publication in a specially made box marked “Tender Box” at the NIWA Headquarters, Lokoja by 2.00pm.
OPENING OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS
All Pre-qualification documents shall be opened in the presence of applicants or their Representatives on the closing date of submission by 2.00pm at the Board Room of NIWA Headquarters, Lokoja.

(a) All documents submitted must be accompanied with an affidavit sworn in any Magistrate/High court to confirm their authenticity.
(b) Only short-listed companies shall be invited to Tender.
(c) Late submission shall be rejected

(e) NIWA reserves the right to take final decision on any of the documents received in your pre-qualification package.

The Nigerian Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture & Water Resources in carrying our its statutory responsibilities and functions is desirous of implementing the s following 2009 capital projects and programmes slated for execution under the 2009 Budget Appropriation.
2. In compliance with the provision of the Public Procurement Act, 2007 for the award of Government Contracts, the Agency (NIHSA) hereby invites highly competent and qualified companies to submit Pre-qualification documents (both technical and financial proposals) for the execution of the National Borehole Data Inventory Project: Establishment of a National Borehole directory in North East Zone (Yobe State).
Scope of Work:
Systematic collection, collation, assessment and identifying boreholes within Yobe State, North East geopolitical zone, compile and present the acquired data in both electronic and hard copies using the National Borehole Reporting format and the National coding system. Make presentation at a sensitization workshop.
3. Pre-Qualification Documents:
(i) Details of company profile which should include; Name Address, GSM phone numbers, e-mail, etc
(ii) Certificate of company Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
(iii) Staff disposition, their qualification and experience in similar/related jobs/works
(iv) Evidence of experience of the Company on Jobs of similar/related nature.
(v) Financial status of the company, which should include audited financial (annual) report, tax clearance certificate for the last 3 years and evidence of VAT registration.
(vi) Evidence of registration with COREN/COMEG
(vii) Accompany every bid with affidavit of disclosure, disclosing whether any officer of MDA or BPP is a former or present Director of Company.
(viii) Not have any director who has been convicted in Any country for any criminal offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety.
(ix) Any other information that will further enhance the Pre-qualification of the company
4. Financial bid documents are available for collection at the procurement office of NIHSA from the date of this publication on payment of a non-refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) only in e-payment at the designated bank below:

2. In compliance with the provision of the Public Procurement Act, 2007 for the award of Government Contracts, the Agency (NIHSA) hereby invites highly competent and qualified companies to submit Pre-qualification documents (both technical and financial proposals) for the execution of the Hydro geological Mapping of Nigeria Project: Determination of Stratigraphic Sequence of Hydrological Area One (HAI).
Scope of work shall include but not limited to:
- Drill exploratory boreholes at chosen sites along horizontal profiles running from west to east of hydrological area one (1) (Lot 1 or 2 as Bidders are restricted to bid for one (1) lot only as the execution of lots shall run concurrently).
- Carryout both physical lithological logs of the rock layer encountered as well as geoelectronic log (resistivity and spontaneous potential) at the conclusion of drilling.
- Obtain logs of all possible boreholes along the profile; correlate and produce a stratigraphic cross-section (clearly identify the formation that are of hydrogeological significance).
3. Pre-Qualification Documents:

PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF INSTALLATION OF SECURITY SYSTEM UPGRADE FOR THE NIGERIAN CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY (NCAA)
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
This request for egression of interest follows the update of the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business issue No 100785 of 4th June 2007.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has received credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the West and Central Africa Air Transport Security and Safety Program (WCAATSSP), Phase II and intends to apply part of the proceeds to procure consultancy services. The Federal Ministry of Aviation therefore wishes to engage for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Headquarters and its operational stations, the services of consultancy firm for the Design and supervision of installation of Security System Upgrade.
The overall objectives of the consultancy is to assist NCAA in the definition, designing and deployment of cutting edge technology in her business process in a bid to mate the organization more efficient and able to keep up with modern times.
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
The consultant will be required among other things to undertake the following functions:
(i) Diagnosis of the Security situation of the headquarters and the operational stations as it relates to Personnel and Vehicular movements.
(ii) Identify the security lapse for vehicular and personnel movement.
(iii) Design a blue print that takes advantage of automation and technology for the plugging of the identified lapses whilst not compromising Personnel and Passenger safety.
(iv) Define the technological requirements for the actualization of the proposed blueprint.
(v) Manage and supervise the deployment of the technical solutions with the highest standard of professional and ethical competence within time and to budget,
(vi) Carry out any other additional tasks as may be required by NCAA for the design and implementation of a fully automated security system and access control NCAA Personnel at the Headquarter and the four Regional offices.
Expressions of interest are now invited from eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers May2004 (Revised October 1,2006.)
