INVITATION FOR TECHNICAL BIDS FOR THE EXECUTION OF VARIOUS PROJECTS IN THE FY-2009 CAPITAL BUDGET

In compliance with the Public Procurement Act 2007, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, it Agencies and Parastatals in carrying out their mandates are desirous to undertake various project in works, goods and services are approved in the FY2009 Budget.

2. Towards this end, the Ministry hereby invites competent and interested Contractors, Suppliers and consultants to bid (Technical and Financial) for projects in 2009 Programmes. The projects, procuring Department, Agencies and Parastatals are as listed below:

(v) Evidence of similar jobs executed (award letters, completion certificates, photographs, etc.).

(vi) Details of equipment /plants owned or to be hired.

4. All contracts wishing to tender for the projects must accompany them with evidence of payment of processing fees to be paid to the Bursary Department of the University

5. Documents received from any contractor after the expiry date will not be considered.

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency is desirous of procuring the following equipments for the Electrical Division:

2.0 SPECIFICATION

The detailed specification for the above items is to be collected from GM (Procurement) by interested contractors before submission of financial bids

3.0 PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

i. Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission as an Electrical Company incorporated to carry out electrical related business in Nigeria.

ii. Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.

iii. Verifiable evidence of previous experience in similar project or works in Nigeria, including letters of award, evidence of payment/ collection certificates.

iv. Comprehensive company profile with Curriculum Vitae of Principal/ Technical Officers, including copies of membership of relevant professional bodies in the construction industry.

v. Telephone, fax numbers and website and e-mail addresses of Company.

vi. Evidence of financial capacity including three (3) years audited company account and bank references.

vii. Any other information that can help facilitate evaluation of contractor’s capabilities and track record.

NOTE: The agency reserves the right to verify the authenticity of claims made in the prequalification documents. Contractors may also bid for one or all of the items specified according to their capabilities.

4.0 SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS

The Agency now invites interested suppliers to submit Pre-qualification documents and financial bids sealed in separate envelopes and submit to:

Submission of Pre-qualification documents closes on or before 11th May 2009 by 12 Noon. The Pre-qualification documents shall be opened immediately. List of pre-qualified contractors shall be pasted on the Agency’s notice board on 12th May 2009.

B. FINANCIAL BIDS:

Submission of Financial Bids by Pre-qualified Contractors closes on 25th May 2009 by 12 Noon. The bids shall be opened immediately. All participating contractors are encouraged to be present during the opening.
