Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) intends to utilize The 2009 Federal Government Capital Appropriation & Intervention Fund to procure some major electrical equipment/materials to improve electricity supply within its area of operation. In line with Federal Government directives, procurement of major materials and equipment will be restricted to reputable ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS-(OEM)/Contractors. 3.0 PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Pre-qualification documents should be accompanied by:
i. Photocopy(s) of evidence of Company Registration/Certificate of Incorporation
ii. Photocopy(s} of Current Company Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.
iii. Photocopies of VAT Registration Certificate and evidence of VAT Remittances
iv. Verifiable evidence of similar job successfully executed
v. Evidence of financial capability from a reputable bank
vi. Company Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years
vii. Comprehensive Company profile with convincing proof of competence to undertake the job
viii. Evidence of Technical, Operational and Managerial capability

INTRODUCTION
The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Transport with Headquarters at Lokoja, Kogi State intends to embark on the Purchase/Supply of ICT, Project Monitoring/Evaluation, and EMMP Equipment hereby invites interested and reputable Contractors/Suppliers with relevant experience to be pre-qualified for the supply of the underlisted equipment and services.
SCOPE OF WORK
Lot (1) Supply and installation of ICT equipment encompassing
Laptop Computers and accessories
- Desktop Computers and accessories
- I.D. Card Machine,
- Multimedia Projector, Camcorder, Inverters;
- Digital Cameras; and
- ‘VAT(indoor and outdoor facilities) in NIWA Area Offices
Lot (2) Project Monitoring and Progress Evaluation Equipment (nationwide).
- Supply of monitoring and evaluation equipment and project vehicles
Lot (3) Environmental Management and Monitoring Equipment on Lower River Niger dredging.
- Supply of field equipment for Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (EMMP) including training exposures.

INTRODUCTION
The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Transport with Headquarters at Lokoja, Kogi State intends to embark on the Procurement of Water Hyacinth/other Aquatic Weeds Clearing and Support Services Equipment; hereby invites reputable and qualified companies with relevant experience for consideration in tendering for the supplies of water hyacinth/aquatic weed clearing equipment and support services equipment.
SCOPE OF WORK

INTRODUCTION
The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Transport with Headquarters at Lokoja, Kogi State intends to embark on the Planned Eradications control and management of water weeds/hyacinth; hereby invite competent and experienced Consultant to make proposals for the Planned Eradication, Control and Management of Water Weeds/Hyacinth in the Nigerian Inland Waterways.
SCOPE OF WORK
The purpose of this assignment is to carry out a detailed Consultancy services to prepare a practicable master plan with condition assessment, reconnaissance survey and methodology for the planned eradication and control of waterweeds/hyacinth along the Nation’s waterways to make them navigable all-year-round in the six (6) geo-political zones:
(1) South-South
(2) South-East
(3) South-West
(4) North-East
(5) North-West
(6) North-Central

INVITATION FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST IN THE ACQUISITION OF AT LEAST 51% EQUITY STAKE IN NIGERIA TELECOMMUNICATION (NITEL) PLC

INVITATION FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST IN THE ACQUISITION OF AT LEAST 51% EQUITY STAKE IN NIGERIA TELECOMMUNICATION (NITEL) PLC.
1. In line with the on-going Privatization Programme of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), the National Council on Privatization (NCP) through its Secretariat, the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) and Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (TRANSCORP) plc hereby invite prospective Core Group/Strategic Investors to express interest in acquiring at least 51% equity stake in Nigerian Telecommunication plc and its 100% wholly owned subsidiary, MTEL, NITEL was incorporated as a limited liability company in December 1984 and formally commenced operations in 1985. NITEL is currently owned by the FGN (49%) and Transcorp plc, the current manager of NITEL (51%).
2. The Federal Government of Nigeria and Transcorp Plc have agreed to select a new core investor who would have the requisite operational, managerial, technical and financial resources to take over NITEL and MTEL. Consequently, BNP Paribas/Eleda Capital Consortium has been appointed as transaction advisers. HSBC and UBA Capital have also been appointed joint adviser to Transcorp.
3. NITEL commenced cellular operation in 1992. In 1996, the FGN created the Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTEL) to provide cellular services, and thus transferred NITEL’s cellular operations to MTEL. Following the auction of Digital Mobile Licenses by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in February 2001, NITEL acquired GSM license which it transferred to MTEL, its wholly owned subsidiary, in March 2003.
4. Pre-qualification Criteria To pre-qualify, interested Strategic Investors must be reputable telecommunications operators who are seeking opportunity for horizontal expansion of their operations with proven track record of successful operations and possess verifiable evidence of the following and where the prospective bidder is a consortium of firms , the operation own at least 51% equity interest in the bidding vehicle:
v At least two million fixed or GSM telephone lines installed by one or more telecommunications companies that the Strategic Investor operates or controls;
§ A successful track record of expanding a telecommunication network of fixed or mobile lines.
§ A minimum net worth of at least US $500, 000, 000; and
5. Pre-qualified prospective investors will be contracted shortly after evaluation and provided with Information Memorandum and given access to data of US $25, 000, 00.
6. Expressions of Interest Form; Bidders can download the Expressions of Interest Form and detailed prequalification criteria from the BPE website: www.bpeng.org and www.bpeng.info Prospective investors could also request for the Expression of Interest form to be mailed to them.
7. Submission; One original and five photocopies of Expressions of Interest form in sealed envelopes clearly marked “NITEL CORE INVESTOR SALE” at the top right hand corners shall be delivered to the address below NOT LATER THAN 5pm of MONDAY, MAY 4, 2009
