IITA, with Headquarters at Ibadan, is an International! Agricultural Research centre in the Consultative Group on international Agricultural Research (CGIAR), which is an association of about 50 countries. IITA seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way, in order to improve the nutritional status and well-being of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa.
The international Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the below position at the institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.
Position: Mechanic II
(2-year renewable contract)
Duties
Successful candidate will:
- Successful candidate will among other duties, troubleshoot and proffer solutions to any identified problems on both petrol and diesel operated vehicles, be able to differentiate between minor major and top overhauls and carry out the appropriate operation required when the need arises especially on engines, transmissions and final drive unit.
Qualifications Experience and Personal Attributes
- Candidate must possess Trade Test Grade I on ND in Mechanical Engineering
- Should have at least 10 years of cognate experience in a well established auto workshop,
- Must be dynamic and to work independently.
