A renowned Pension Fund Administrator seeks an experience professional that will provide leadership and direction in the position below:

DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING – Ref: EM103

Position Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Position Description

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director/CEO, and supervise the strategy & product development Lead, Head Private Sector and Head Public Sector. He/she will be responsible for the following:

  • Champion the design, development and execution of business strategies for marketing the organization’s products and services.
  • Build and manage strong and effective sales team.
  • Conduct market surveys to identity customers’ needs and monitor the impact of business development activities,
  • Create, manage and communicate the organizations brand value.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and ensures customer satis­faction with services delivered by the organization,
  • Manage strategic relationships with key business partners including brokers, service centre location owners, closed PFAs, and institutional clients,
  • Oversee marketing campaigns and other business development initiatives.
  • Develop new products and services in line with the organization’s vision and strategy.
  • Review market trends and make appropriate recommendations to enable management  take key business decisions (e.g. markets, pricing, service delivery model).
  • Set objectives, goals and plans for the division.
  • Develop and update operational policies procedures and processes for the division.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Managing Director/CEO.

Specifications:

Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess minimum of first degree or its equivalent in a numerate or semi- numerate discipline such as marketing actuarial science, statistic, mathematics, accounting, economics, banking, finance, insurance, law and business studies.

Professional Qualification

Candidate must be membership of a relevant professional association will be an added advantage.

Experience

Candidate should have Minimum of 1 5 years post qualification experience of which at least 8 must have been in the Financial Services Sector and 5 years in top/ senior management position.

  • In-depth understanding of local and international practices and issues in the pensions/asset management industry.

  • Marketing and Selling Skills.
  • Good Interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Result oriented, Customer focused and innovative.
