As part of its continuous development programme, PZ Cussons is interested in four to six vibrant, energetic and intelligent candidates that have potential to grow within the organization and eventually take on leadership roles in our commercial Business Unit.

Successful candidates with proven performance and interest in the roles below will be given exposure to commercial Analysis, Management and other core areas such as , Selling Skills and Negotiation Skills, with the objective of gaining necessary skills to lead a team in a large listed .

To succeed you will need to a history of achievement and results. An education in & Marketing Management and early work exposure is advantageous, as well as a completed or initiated professional study, e.g. CIMN etc. it is important show an alignment to our CAN Do values (Courage, Accountability, , Drive and Oneness) plus a track record of success/achievements and very strong intellectual capabilities.

The Role: Customer/Trade Marketing Manager

The successful candidates will be required to:

  • Support the overall function to deliver agreed , profit and distribution levels.
  • Align brand and customer strategies to deliver the company’s brand objectives through customers.
  • Work with the commercial team to convert insights into actions that deliver competitive advantage & optimal in market execution to maximize business potential.
  • Develop effective promotional brand strategic plan by channel and drive the improvement in visibility through the deployment of the right POS materials.
  • Coordinate and facilitate NPD launches and re-launches of brands.
  • Drive the use of data in the business (Nielsen, etc,).
  • Communicate & manage successful in-market execution for the responsible brands (or channels) through driving the force & continuous-on-the field checks.
  • Be an expert in understanding trade channels & be able to advise /business of changes in trends/promotional mechanics/customer, trade & competitor activities

The Person:

The right candidates must:

  • Possess a good university degree in any discipline.
  • Have three to five (3-5) years relevant working experience FMCG .
  • Possess first class numeric and skills.
  • Have membership of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing (CIMN).
  • Have computer expertise especially in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have excellent customer relations skills.
  • Have excellent oral and written skills.
  • Typically have progressed through a broad business with exposure to Sates, Consumer & Trade Marketing.
  • Experience of working in & influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Have a CAN DO attitude, exhibiting our core values COURAGE, ACCOUNTABILITY, , DRIVE and ONENESS.
