An international that works globally to advance and support the availability, quality and use of facility based reproductive health and family planning services at every level of health care systems and to strengthen links between facilities and communities is in need of the below position at its office

TITLE:         PROJECT

PROGRAM/OFFICE:  

REPORTS TO:    DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER

SALARY:    NEGOTIABLE COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

TERM:    TWO YEARS WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION, DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING

JOB SUMMARY:

The Project works closely with the Deputy Project Manager and provides support to the Projects team following Engender Health Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Projects internal control policy

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintains calendar of project activities including travel and visiting schedules, staff and other meetings and reminds the team of upcoming events
  2. Prepares agenda, take meeting notes, provides interpretation, assists with preparation of Projects presentations and other PR activities
  3. Set up and maintain project files, electronic files, project Library and other resources
  4. Maintains and Organizes public folders filling system
  5. Provides administrative and if necessary support to project activities, assists in organizing training sessions, workshops, Conferences
  6. Drafts routine correspondence to partners and collaborators (greetings, thanks you etc) Contributes to developing and maintains the training materials and ensures equipments support for the project presentations, training activities etc.
  7. Participate in field visits providing support with scheduling meetings and follow up activities
  8. Assists with proof reading of major program products such as training curricular, reference materials, survey tools, study reports, requests for application etc
  9. Assist the deputy Project Manager and Team in gathering information and responding to inquiries inside and outside the project

10.  Other comparable duties may be assigned to this position from time to time, in general support of Engender Health Activities

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum of a secondary school certificate, Diploma in business discipline or relevant qualification.
  2. Minimum 2 years experience in providing logistical support to event coordination

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND OTHER ABILITIES

  1. Excellent communication and writing skills
  2. Good problem solving skills and ability to take initiatives
  3. Outgoing personality, patience and flexible
  4. Ability to work and cope very well under pressure
  5. Basic Computer skills ( Outlook, Word, Excel)
  6. General understanding of the religious and political dynamics in Nigeria
  7. Good team dynamics and self starter
  8. Demonstrated ability to work collegially with other staff and counterparts
  9. Exceptional interpersonal communication, teamwork, partnering, and consensus-building skills

10.  Good written and spoken English.

11.  Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Internet.

12.  Ability to work under pressure, autonomously and in a team
