Action Aid Nigeria (AAN) is one of Action Aid Country Programmes around the world Action Aid is an International Non-Governmental organization registered in The Netherlands with headquarters in Johannesburg South Africa. Action Aid International works in about 50 countries in Africa. Asia, Europe. Australia and the Americas. 22 of these countries programmes, affiliates or associates are in Africa and are led by Africans. We have been doing development work on the continent since 1972 and in Nigeria since 1972 and in Nigeria since 1999. ActionAid works with the poor and excluded in Africa, promoting values and commitment in civil society, institutions and governments with the aim of achieving structural changes in order to eradicate injustices and poverty in the world

Capacity Building Technical Advisor (One position each for Nassarawa, Ogun & Akwa Ibom)

Personal Specification

Education/Qualification

• Degree in Social Science, Arts or Humanities is essential
• Post graduate degree in a relevant field is essential

Experience

• A minimum of 7 years working experience preferably in the social development field is essential
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position is essential
• Experience in working with HIV/AIDS- related Civil Society Organization in the areas of capability building and preventive is essential
• Experience of the Nigerian policy environment as it relates with Gender & HIV/AIDS is desirable

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent computer application skills is essential
• Excellent Skills in capacity/building is essential
• Excellent oral and written communication skills is essential
• Excellent conceptual, analytical, documentation and prevention skills is essential

Personal Qualities

• Creative and takes initiatives
• Able to work effectively in a diverse environment
• Willing and able to travel
