Since 1971, Family Health International (FHI) has been at the forefront of public health research and intervention program in the developing countries. In collaboration with national governments, local communities and leading research institution FHI delivers services and conducts research in HIV/AIDS, other infectious diseases and reproductive health to improve it lives and well-being of some of the world’s most vulnerable populations. In Nigeria, FHI is engaged in providing public health services and implementing programs in HIV/AIDS, TB, reproductive health, malaria, and health systems strengthening partnership with the Government of Nigeria. To strengthen our operations in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates to fill the post of:

Zonal

The Zonal , under the supervision of the Zonal Senior and Zonal Manager, and with technical oversight from the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, will be responsible tor Implementing monitoring and evaluation activities for the zonal office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with other staff in the zonal office and local implementing partners ensure that zonal monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and the donor and project M&E needs
  • Work with local partners to support correct implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation tools, as well as adherence to complete, correct and time reporting.
  • Conduct routine monitoring visits to project sites, including the conduct of de quality assessments (DQAs) using official tools
  • Assist  in   the   preparation   of  monthly  reports   and   provide  supportive supervision
  • Provide direct technical assistance and capacity building in the design and implementation of the program/project monitoring and enhanced evaluation components of activities in the communities served
  • On a monthly basis, analyze state-level data and provide reports to the state and national offices and local partners
  • Participate in project assessments, evaluations and design teams when requested
  • Represent FHI   and make presentations at  professional  meetings  and conferences related to monitoring and evaluation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidate must possess or with 1-3 years field experience in monitoring and evaluation reproductive health or HIV/AIDS programs in developing countries
  • Experience working with local partners, including NGOs and CBOs at knowledge of local context
  • Familiarity with USAID programs is preferred.
