Zonal Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The Zonal Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, under the supervision of the Zonal Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and Zonal Manager, and with technical oversight from the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, will be responsible tor Implementing monitoring and evaluation activities for the zonal office.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with other staff in the zonal office and local implementing partners ensure that zonal monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and the donor and project M&E needs
- Work with local partners to support correct implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation tools, as well as adherence to complete, correct and time reporting.
- Conduct routine monitoring visits to project sites, including the conduct of de quality assessments (DQAs) using official tools
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and provide supportive supervision
- Provide direct technical assistance and capacity building in the design and implementation of the program/project monitoring and enhanced evaluation components of activities in the communities served
- On a monthly basis, analyze state-level data and provide reports to the state and national offices and local partners
- Participate in project assessments, evaluations and design teams when requested
- Represent FHI and make presentations at professional meetings and conferences related to monitoring and evaluation.
Minimum Requirements
- Candidate must possess MPH or MBBS with 1-3 years field experience in monitoring and evaluation reproductive health or HIV/AIDS programs in developing countries
- Experience working with local partners, including NGOs and CBOs at knowledge of local context
- Familiarity with USAID programs is preferred.
