Academy for Educational Development, a U.S.-based international non-profit organization, is implementing a HIV/AIDS project in Nigeria with funding from USAID/Nigeria (PEPFAR). The project needs a well qualified professional to occupy the position. The position below is based in Lagos, Nigeria. Training Officer
Major Responsibilities:
o Facilitate and coordinate logistical aspects of training events, including the identification and procurement of venues coordination of travel and lodging for participants, catering, delivery of training materials, etc,
o Provide technical assistance to partners for the rollout of their training and capacity building activities
o Preparing reports on training activities and effectiveness
o Maintain a schedule of all upcoming and required trainings to assure program objectives are met within given timeframe
o Developing training aids, such as instructional manuals, evaluation forms and visual aids.
o Coordinate activities related to the production of IEC materials including content, packaging and/or layout, and dissemination
o Assure all activities are conducted within the scope of the project budget and following USAID and AED requirement.
o Contributes to the development of program reports and other deliverables.
o Perform other functions as directed by the Country Director.
Qualification:
o Bachelors Degree in social sciences or related field required.
o Minimum of five years experience in administrative management, especially training coordination and delivery
o Experience with procurement of goods and services.
o Excellent organizational skills attention to detail.
o Familiarity with USAID regulation
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required.
Other requirement
Experience industrial working environment will be a plus. The candidate should have an excellent social capital with competencies in WRITTEN or ORAL presentations, negotiation and communication skills and computer literacy.
