A major international organization managing a large programme to support the reform and strengthening of the health care systems in Nigeria is recruiting qualifies professional staff to fill position based in Lagos. The programme supports the Federal and State Ministries of Health in transforming the health financing, management and delivery of sustainable health services, and represents a major development initiative that seeks to enhance the development policies and strategies and stronger accountability mechanisms

- Significant prior experience working in programme funded by international donors, strongly preferable in the health sector
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, capacity-building, training, organization and management skills
- Ability to work and deliver under intense pressure
- Dedicated team player with demonstrated interpersonal, result-oriented, and decision making skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to programme sites throughout the State and for Country
THE STATE PROGRAMME/HEALTH FINANCING OFFICER (LAGOS)
- Will work with other key ministries such as planning and budget, finance etc to provide technical assistance to the SMOH in managing their health financing and human resource development requirements in the State, including economic evaluation, costing analyses, vouchers and credentials cash transfers, and health services resource allocation for health including that of HIV/AIDS and other disease portfolios.
- S/he will work collaboratively with program staff that are embedded in the SMOH Agencies to ensure appropriate development of sectoral plans for all the monitories and agencies and identification of areas for strengthening by the project and other SLPs
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Masters degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Business or other relevant Health or Social Science field.
- 6 years of professional experience in health economics, health financing, economic evaluation, health systems strengthening or capacity building programmes
- Strong quantitative research skills are required
- Specific experience is randomized method and experience is highly desirable
