A major international organization managing a large programme to support the reform and strengthening of the health care systems in Nigeria is recruiting qualifies professional staff to fill position based in . The programme supports the Federal and State Ministries of Health in transforming the health financing, management and delivery of sustainable health services, and represents a major development initiative that seeks to enhance the development policies and strategies and stronger accountability mechanisms

  • Significant prior experience working in programme funded by international donors, strongly preferable in the health sector
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, capacity-building, training, organization and management skills
  • Ability to work and deliver under intense pressure
  • Dedicated team player with demonstrated interpersonal, result-oriented, and decision making skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to programme sites throughout the State and for Country

The Service Integration Officer ()

  • Will collaborate with the State Ministry of Health to identify gaps in health systems and services delivery management also strengthen capacity based on needs assessment findings, and design technical assistance interventions to address the identified gaps
  • S/he will identify areas for operational research to strengthen delivery of health care services for common disease burdens and health and health issues in State, such as TB, Malaria, reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS, and Immunization
  • Will assist with implement interventions for capacity building of various categories of health care workers to deliver quality services at the facility level.
  • In addition, s/he will work with State Health Financing Officer to strengthen the State’s Community Based Health Insurance Scheme

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in , in , Health Policy, Health Planning, Health Systems Management & Administration, or other relevant field, 6 years of professional experience in Managing health systems strengthening and or health service delivery programs.
  • Experience in the clinical management of common health services areas such as TB, Malaria, Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS specific requirements in community-based services and support programs for the poor and vulnerable segment of society, particularly women and children
