We are a leading international non-governmental organization working in the area of HIV and AIDS care and treatment. We require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic candidates to fill the post of:
Regional Team Leader, Gombe
Responsibilities:
- Managing and providing technical guidance to the Regional Implementation Team of HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs
- Supervising a team of technical and support staff providing assistance and support to facilities implementing HIV/ AIDS care and treatment programs
- Assisting with individual and site work planning, regional strategic planning, and reporting to donors
- Maintaining an excellent working relationship with counterparts at State and Local levels, USG implementing partners, and local groups/organization.
- Assisting with individual and site work planning, regional strategic planning, and reporting to donors
- Assist in scale up of ART and PMTCT + services in the region
- Leading statewide advocacy plans with stakeholders.
- Providing onsite mentoring and supervision to facility staff
- Representing the organization in project monitoring meetings and other stakeholders’ meeting in the state
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Medicine or Public health
- Minimum of five years robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment or other public health intervention.
- Experience in health program management
- Experience working in health care system in Nigeria
- Experience working in collaboration with state and local government partners, US. government or bilateral donors preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Must be capable of independently developing and implementing the duties described above
General Requirement
- This position require candidate that are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet/Emails
- Significant amounts of travel required for this position
