We are a leading international nongovernmental organization working in the area of HIV and AIDS care and treatment. We require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic candidates to fill the position below:
Position: REGIONAL PHARMACY/LOGISTICS AND MONITORING OFFICER
Responsibilities:
- Provision of technical support for pharmacy personnel and other clinical staff on drug related matters.
- Promoting rational use of ARVs and related medicines at supported sites
- Provision of technical support to ensure good pharmacy practice at supported sites.
- Mentoring and building capacity of site pharmacy staff on logistics management of ARVs and related commodities to ensure commodity security
- Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all items provided to the respective regional stores.
- Be able to use pharmaceutical tracking tools to input data into stand-alone and web based data bases/systems for the purpose of monitoring drug use and needs across supported sites.
- Be familiar with and able to use Logistics management information systems (LMIS) tools for the tracking of pharmaceutical products.
- Provide monthly reports on stock utilization to the central office.
Minimum requirements:
- Candidate must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
- Prior hands on experience in the provision of pharmaceutical care services to PLWHA within a hospital setting
- Prior experience in HIV/AIDS commodity logistics management
- At least 2 years experience in programming in developing countries,
- Experience in Pharmacy Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and other Office packages.
- Proficiency in the use of email and internet
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Other Requirements
- This position requires candidates that are proficient in the use of Microsoft office Suite and Internet/Emails.
- Significant amounts of travel required for this position
