Since 1971. Family Heath International (FHI) has been at the forefront of public health research and intervention programs in the developing countries. In collaboration with the national governments, local communities and leading research institutions, FHI delivers services and conducts research in HIV/AIDS, other infectious disease and reproductive health to improve the lives and well-being of some of the world’s most vulnerable populations. In Nigeria, FHI is engaged in providing public health services and implementing programs in HIV/AIDS, TB, reproductive health, malaria, and health systems strengthening in partnership with the Government of Nigeria. To strengthen our operations in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position below:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Office Global Health Initiative, under the supervision of the Senior Monitoring Evaluation Global Health Initiative will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of monitoring and Evaluation activities of the Zonal office

Key Requirements

  • Work with other staff in the country office and zonal offices to ensure that zonal monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate, of high quality and meet donor and project Monitoring and Evaluation needs
  • Work with the country office, zonal-level M & E staff and government counterparts to provide support and guidance on program/project monitoring and evaluation activities and on US government of Nigeria reporting requirements with respect to GHI program
  • Provide support to the sites in the one, including interacting with site and disease program managers, M &E focal persons, M & E offices of NACA/NASCP, SACA/SASCP,NTBLCP/STBLCP,NMCP/SMCO and other implementing agencies and local research groups on programs M&E needs and ensure that these parties understand and can support these requirements
  • Work with the zonal offices and local partners to support the correct implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation tools, and adherence to complete, correct and timely reporting
  • Ensure that the quality of program/project activities adheres to SOPs by supporting the development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms to ensure quality of all global health program interventions
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the computerized data capture of program activities and provide technical assistance and training to staff at the zonal offices responsible for data entry and management
  • Provide technical assistance to M&E officers of NACA/NASCP, SACA/SASCP, NTBLCP/STBLCP and NMCP/SMCP in integrating FHI data into the national HMIS
  • Build the capacity of zonal and local partners in project monitoring and evaluation
  • With program staff and local partners, use program/project monitoring data to modify existing programs and design new ones

Minimum Requirements

  • , or similar degree in monitoring and evaluation, , or related field
  • A bachelor’s degree will be considered with 5-7 years additional experience
  • Minimum of 3years experience in monitoring and evaluation in reproductive health or HIV/AIDS/STI/TB and malaria programs in developing countries
  • Experience working knowledge of the local partners, including NGOs an CBOs and Knowledge of the local context is essential
  • Familiarity with USAID programs is preferred
