The Maternal and Neo-natal Child Health (MNCH) initiative is a 4 year aid programme which operates alongside the PRRINN programme that focuses on strengthening routine immunization in Northern Nigeria. The MNCH programme aims to address the unacceptable high rates of maternal and newborn child mortality and morbidity in some Northern Nigerian States. The programme is funded by the Norwegian government through a partnership with DFID. It is operated by a consortium of three institutions, namely: Health Partners International UK, Save the Children, UK and GRID Consulting Nigeria.
The MNCH Initiative aims to facilitate health reform agenda in support of the revitalization of the Primary Health Care services (PHCs) at the state level in each of the programme operating State. This initiative operates alongside the PRRINN programme to add values to strengthening immunization with a special focus on improving MNCH outcomes. The joint programme operates with stakeholders in the health sector as civil societies to provide quantifiable improvements to the primary health care systems in Northern Nigeria
PRRINN/MNCH is managed by a team of internationally recruited professionals. Its programme activities are carried out in Jigawa, Katsina, Yobe and Zamfara with coordination from the programmer’s head office in Kano. The programme has commenced operations but seeks to recruit additional professionals to assist in the technical and administrative functions in the head office:

Duties
This position will maintain communication links with all PRRINN/MNCH offices and thereby coordinate the processes of contracting and remunerating Consultants who are engaged on short term assignments in the PRRINN/MNCH Programme. S/he will also be responsible for the continuous update of the electronic database on consultants; including entry of new CVs, update of existing CVs and the entry of post-assignment data. This position will report to the National Programme Manager.
Qualification:
- This position requires candidate with a verifiable business management experience and/or human resource management background with at least five (5) years administrative experience at a managerial level.
- Candidates must also possess a high level of computer literacy with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Previous experience in the Aid sector would be an added advantage.
Terms of Employment:
The appointment is a contract term of three (3) years, with six (8) months probationary period. The PRRINN/MNCH Programme offers highly competitive salary packages. However, local terms and conditions are applicable.
