We are a leading international non-governmental organization working in the area of HIV and AIDS care and treatment. We require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic candidates to fill the position below:

DEPUTY TEAM LEADER

Location: Kaduna

The successful candidate will work with Regional Team Leader in providing strong leadership to a multidisciplinary team and assist the program in the rapid implementation of HIV/AIDS care in Kaduna and Kogi States.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Kaduna Regional Team Leader to provide technical leadership and guidance to the Regional office.
  • Oversees the implementation of quality HIV/AIDS care and treatment services in supported sites, including coordinating the development of work plan, with emphasis on the Quality Assurance of services
  • Work with the Regional Team Leader to provide intensive mentoring to Technical Advisors and Facility staff on the implementation of quality HIV services
  • Support systems establishment to improve care, patient flow, documentation, data management and reporting
  • Carry out supportive supervision of field staff and mentoring (hands-on training to both old and new site staffs,
  • Works in collaboration with other units to ensure timely submission of regional reports.
  • Assist in the technical monitoring of subcontractors activities and ensure compliance with sustainability plan
  • Collaborates with State government and other partners in the implementation of the program

Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced Medical Degree (MD preferred) or Masters in Public Health
  • Minimum of 5 years robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment
  • Experience with HIV/AIDS programming;
  • Experience in developing country health care programs
  • Experience in training and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team player and a good communicator, both verbal and written
  • Minimum of 5 plus years experience in program planning, monitoring and evaluation in developing country settings preferred;
  • Strong supervisory and management skills;
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.

Other Requirements

  • This position requires candidates that are proficient in the use of Microsoft office Suite and Internet/Emails.
  • Significant amounts of travel required for this position
