Title: Chief of Party, HIV/AIDS PREVENTION, CARE AND TREATMENT
Reports to: JHPlEGO/Nigeria Country Director
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Responsibilities:
The Chief of Party’s responsibilities will include:
- Providing programmatic leadership and direction to insure technical, strategic, and financial integrity of a large U.S. government-funded health project
- Having knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment especially interventions for prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT)
- Coordinating all activities and managing project personnel
- Cultivating strategic relationships and alliances with other PEPFAR partners
- Being responsive to and responsible for relationship with the Government of Nigeria and ensuring that program activities are moving forward the national HIV/AIDS response in Nigeria.
- Being responsible for overall relationships between JHPIEGO and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and international and local partners to ensure smooth implementation.
- Leading annual work planning processes in close collaboration with CDC and the project team
- Ensuring that the project meets set targets
- Managing information dissemination among the project team
- Providing written reports to CDC with updates on program activities as described
Candidates must be fluent in English, have an advanced degree, and a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
