As we progress in our effort to retain our leadership position in the telecommunications industry, we seek an experienced professional to function in the capacity of Portfolio Manager,

Port Folio Managers

Division – Corporate services

Reporting to: Executive Secretary, MTN Nigeria Foundation

Qualification (s)

  • First Degree in any discipline
  • An advanced degree will be an add advantage

Experience & Training

  • At least 8 years corporate work experience including:
  • At least 4 years significant project management experience, preferably within the corporate social investment environment
  • At least 3 years experience in a supervisory/managerial role
  • Must have cross-functional role relationship and networking experience.
  • Demonstrable commitment to social responsibility

Job Summary

Implement core projects within assigned portfolio (i. e) economic empowerment, education and health) in line with the MTNF strategy

Manage and control other projects within assigned portfolio.

  • Develop and implement business plan per project.
  • Develop and maintain a relationship with responsible interest groups and stakeholders per project.
  • Identify avenues and drive plans to take advantage of opportunities regionally and nationally.
  • Identify funding and/or co-sponsorship opportunities.
  • Manage and control physical operational requirements of the identified initiatives.
  • Design marketable projects that align MTNF to the oval MTNN business strategy, leading to visible and high impact
  • Initiatives that improve quality to life as well as build string affinity and loyalty to the MTN brand
  • Work closely with other MTNN operating units to form strategic alliances for internal participation and product/brand infusion
  • Develop and implement public relations strategies, facilitate corporate social investment branding and MTN exposure through general marketing and channel-specific marketing initiatives.
  • Produce progress status/update reports on a monthly/quarterly basis that will ultimately form part of report to be shared with other users like the MTNF Board of Directors, Patrons, MTN Group etc.
  • Make presentations of new projects to the MTNF Project Appraisal Committee.
  • Produce financial projections on all projects under portfolio being managed. Manage budget implementation and validate progress reports on deliverables per project.
  • Use information obtained from the Monitoring and Evaluation unit of the Foundation as well as other reliable sources to make recommendation on project plans.
