Position: Night Duty Manager
To be responsible for the management of the night operations of the hotel
Role Definition
- The role involves running the night time operations of the Hotel as part of the management team. The responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel to deliver superior service and excellent product quality at night lies with the Night Duty Manager
Job Description
The General Manager amongst other duties will do the following:
- Hotel Night Duty Management
- Managing and maintaining a secure Hotel environment
- Ensuring the Hotel’s quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness
- Providing first class customer service
- Duty staff management, discipline arid motivation
Job Environment/Condition
- Job requires relating with the public and VIPs of diverse backgrounds and orientation etc; regular meetings with departmental heads, circulating throughout the hotel daily, looking for room for improvement. It is an extremely busy work schedule.
Salary: Very attractive and Negotiable.
Experience/Skills Requirement
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience is required (including a minimum of 1 year on the Night Duty Manager role);
- Leadership skills
- Entrepreneurial skills
- Communication skill-,
- Financial planning and budgeting experience is an asset
- Business management skills is an asset
- Time management skills
- Problems solving skills and mindset
Reporting Line:
- The Night Manager will report directly to the General Manager of the hotel.
Educational Requirement:
- B.Sc 2.2 in any Social Science
- A good group of accounting will be an added advantage
