Our client is a Group of Companies and an unquestionable leader in the Financial Services Sector. The Group has just set up a Microfinance Bank with the vision of being a pace-setter in that particular Sub-sector.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
The Job:
Provide overall strategic direction to the bank, ensure operational effectiveness and position the bank to achieve its long-term vision. In doing this, ensure statutory compliance and compliance with institutional policies, provide ethical leadership and report to the Board of directors.
Person Specification
- Must have a good first degree preferably in Accounting, Finance and allied areas. Possession of an MBA or Masters degree Finance is highly advantageous.
- Possession of at least 12 years cumulative work experience 7 of which must be at a managerial level in a bank or deposit-taking financial institution;
- Must show good knowledge of business strategy and the, ability to exercise judgment, initiative and discretion.
- The ideal candidate must be a proven professional with solid track-record of achievements and evident leadership skills. The person must also have a reasonable knowledge of the microfinance banking sector.
- The incumbent must be entrepreneurial and demonstrate the capacity to train and mentor a rapidly growing staff and the passion to make a positive difference in the lives of Nigerians through microfinance.
