Our client is an emerging force in the fast developing genetic agricultural industry, with special interest in seeds and seedlings. To meet the challenges of the next phase in their expansion program, the organization requires outstanding professionals to fill the position below:

Position: Research Manager – resmgr@aviraltd.com

Location:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing field trial programs, research activities and generate data for products development

Key Responsibilities

  • In-field research yield trial management
  • Lead the development of products based on research and trial programs
  • Generate and efficiently interpret research data
  • Provide relevant insights and recommendations from research for product enhancement
  • Provide effective, timely and sound technical support to meet and exceed project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership to encourage and develop innovations
  • Ensure proper management of research resources
  • Manage other research employees to meet research objectives

Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A good first degree (minimum 2,2) or equivalent in Agricultural Engineering or related discipline from a reputable institution. A higher degree/professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in research and development, one (1 ) of which must be at supervisory/managerial level
  • Strong agronomy background
  • Project Management
  • Innovation management
  • Interpersonal relationship
  • Excellent communication
  • PC proficiency
