Position: Research Manager – resmgr@aviraltd.com
Location: Yola
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing field trial programs, research activities and generate data for products development
Key Responsibilities
- In-field research yield trial management
- Lead the development of products based on research and trial programs
- Generate and efficiently interpret research data
- Provide relevant insights and recommendations from research for product enhancement
- Provide effective, timely and sound technical support to meet and exceed project objectives.
- Provide technical leadership to encourage and develop innovations
- Ensure proper management of research resources
- Manage other research employees to meet research objectives
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A good first degree (minimum 2,2) or equivalent in Agricultural Engineering or related discipline from a reputable institution. A higher degree/professional qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in research and development, one (1 ) of which must be at supervisory/managerial level
- Strong agronomy background
- Project Management
- Innovation management
- Interpersonal relationship
- Excellent communication
- PC proficiency
