Our Client a mid-sized and extremely luxury boutique hotel of international standard in Ikoyi, Lagos requires for immediate employment, the service of a

Position: General Manager

To be responsible for the management of the hotel’s operations

Role Definition

• This role is a Senior Executive role and will involve business Planning, Marketing, Human Resource responsibilities, suppliers relations and the total maintenance of the establishment. Marketing is a major aspect of this role.

Job Description

The General Manager amongst other duties will do the following

• Develop and implement an effective marketing , plan
• Plan and direct the operations and department
• Establish the financial and service standards of the organization
• Prepare and monitor budgets
• Supervise and motivate staff

Job Environment/Condition

• Job requires relating with the public and VIPs of diverse backgrounds and orientation etc; regular meetings with departmental heads, circulating throughout the hotel daily, looking for room for improvement, it is an extremely busy work schedule and may require working for long run stretch.

Salary: Very attractive and Negotiable.

• Experience/Skills requirement
• Minimum 7 years of experience is required ( including a minimum of 2 years on the General Manager role);
• Leadership skills
• ^· Entrepreneurial skills
• Communication skills
  • Financial planning and budgeting experience is a requirement
    Business management skills is a requirement

  • Problems solving skills and mindset

Reporting Line:

• The General Manager will report directly to the Board of Directors of the hotel.

Educational Requirement:

• B.Sc 2.2 in any Social Science
• A good group of accounting as a requirement
