It has recently made strategic acquisitions intended to position the group as the leading player in the construction sector of the Nigerian economy. We now wish to recruit capable and experienced personnel to fill the position required to drive the group’s transformation strategy.
CONSTRUCTION COST MANAGERS – 4 Vacancies (Ret: SV/QS)
Location: Apapa Lagos State, Akure Ondo State, Federal Capital Territory
Relationship:
The Construction Cost Manager is a Quantity Surveyor and will report to the Zonal Operational Manager or the CEO in appropriate cases. He will have line responsibilities to the CEO in the specific duties of tender preparation and contract negotiation.
Job Descriptions:
- Manages all cost relating to projects from the initial calculation to completion.
- Prepares tender and contract documents.
- Prepares and analyses costing for tenders.
- Carries out valuation of work – in – progress and stage completion,
- Provides advice on contract claims.
- Advises on procurement strategy.
- Undertakes costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work,
- Works closely with other professionals in the submission of tenders, presentation and negotiation of contracts.
- Controls and manages subcontractors
Qualifications and Experience:
- A good first degree in Quantity Surveying from a reputable university.
- Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
- Suitable candidates must have a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in construction companies and 5 of this must be in senior management position.
- Applicants must be between 35 and 40 years of age.
