PositionAssistant General Manager (AGM) Consumer Sales

Job Objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our market position (revenue, market share and brand strength) in the consumer sector by providing leadership to a team of focused on distribution and retail selling of our Products. Candidate will also be responsible for developing new business opportunities and subscriber growth within Personal, Home, Small and Medium business segments.

Key Outputs:

  • Design and execute a robust retail sales and distribution strategy that include point of sale communications, consumer contact programmes to maximise consumer exposure, build brand image and encourage purchase;
  • Establish, identify, recruit, manage and maintain close working relationships with dealer outlets in order to gain high levels of support and loyalty for our company’s product;
  • Work with Dealer outlets to ensure that they deliver on the marketing strategy with regard to product availability, pricing and communication to the consumer;
  • Provide consumer information and reports on brand performance, own and competitor’s activities in the retail environment;

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Acute understanding of consumer behavior and insight
  • Sales and Sales force management;
  • Management of third party vendors;
  • Working knowledge of Information and Communication Technology products;
  • Supply chain and Distribution Strategy;
  • Subscriber retention and churn management
  • Advertising and Media Planning and Placement.

Qualification and Experience:

A good first degree from a reputable university with a minimum of 2nd class honours, upper division. An Degree obtained from a top university will be an advantage. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of added experience in selling ICT and/or FMCG products and services. A proven track record in consistently delivering set targets and managing a team of field will be required.
